Weekend getaway
O.k this was supposed to be a romantic getaway for my fiance' and I,but it ended up being more stressful than anything. The entire trip was already prepaid, but to our surprise we had to pay ten dollars a day for parking at a hotel we were staying at.The hotel was pretty empty and made us feel as though they were trying to make-up the loss of cost; with us with everything they could find.To my surprise our credit card was even charged for water that wasn't even in the room. If the water had been there; it should have been there as a courtesy to the quest. For the future we will never stay with this hotel branch again.

Is this really a westin?
Staff ,my room an food was good. The grounds need some much needed attention. Why did a refrigerator sit in the hallway for 4 days with a glass on top with mold in it? Im going to stop right here! Don't stay here unless its for one night.

less than expected
I would rate that hotel at 2-3 stars. It is certainly not a 4 star. I imagine the only reason it is assumed to be a 4 star is that it has a "resort" associated with it, which only means a pool and a restaurant... both of which are located right next to the highway the hotel is off of. The reception was lackluster at best when we checked in. That was the only staff we saw on the premises the whole time... which would explain the half full wine glass that sat on the window sill of the loby for alost 15 hours (the amount of time we were there). I tried calling the concierge after having difficulty with the internet and had to leave a message, which was never returned. In the end we were never able to get on line. The warn and stained carpet had power cables running underneath it, and the countertops in the bath had cracks and glued down chips/pops in its top. Additionally, the show leaked from the head all night. On the up side, the shower did have two heads. However, when you see a card on the sink asking you not to clean your towels with every use to help reduce the amount of water used for the sake of the environment the two shower heads seemed out of place. I appreciate real environmental concern. I do not appreciate green washing for the sake of marketing. I also liked the fruit infused H2O at the front door, but did not appreciate the $14.00 continental breakfast, which is free at lesser hotels. In the end, if on vacation and looking for a 4 star hotel to enjoy, this is not the one.

Left Lots to Be Desired
Was expecting 4 star it is really a low 2 star. Chose this hotel because I am a member and have had good experiences in the past. This hotel best feature??? Its location. First room smelled, carpet dirty and wall paper peeling off the walls Second room not much better. Bathroom shower ran and Toilet leak water. Told them everyday of my 5 night stay. Never fixed. Left $10 tip for house keeping and asked for extra towels and coffee. She took the tip and left nothing!!! When I call down they brought it 2 hours later. I was only in the room at night to sleep. If we had not prepaid, I would have left. Buyer Beware!!!

Bloody Brandon
Not all that
When I checked in it was very late and I went to bed immediately. I woke up the next morning and noticed there was blood all over my towel. I got another towel, took a shower, and got ready. As I left my room, I noticed there was blood all over the door. I went down and alerted the front desk. They assured me it would be cleaned up. I arrived back in my room at 8pm that night, and blood was still all over the door. I asked for the manager to come up. After waiting 30 minutes, I decided to clean the blood off myself. He finally showed up, and was very rude. I handed him the towel with the blood on it, and yet I still got treated like I was lying. He kept saying he couldnt find where I reported the blood earlier in the morning. Well, I did..... I expected free breakfast or something, but nope, I didnt get anything but a bad attitude. The drain in the bath tube was also broken, and the floor I was on was very noisy. I will NEVER stay here again, and will probably never stay at another Westin. Its a shame because I was a loyal customer, and always stayed at the Westin. From now on, I will stay at the Hilton. Parking is expensive, and the staff are all very rude. I would NOT recommend staying here.

The good, the bad and the really ugly
The rooms were clean and the maid service excellent, but is where the satisfactions ends. There is a $10 charge for daily parking. The refrigerator was locked. The hotel web site advertised free WIFI, but when I tried to connect in the room, there was a $10 charge. When I asked the people at the front desk, I was informed that free WIFI was in the lobby only, not what was advertised. Not at all pleased with the Westin and will never stay at another one.

Still Shock
We were part of a wedding.Good time for july 4 get away? Wrong! When you drive up to the parking lot , it was nasty. No attendants to help at the door. I try to change my resorvation to the Dan Shula Weston ,but they told me i could not. So i figured lets give it a try, Sheets clean fresh pillow nice shower. Im feeling good right now. Saturday morning the family now are going to the pool. Disgrace the hot tube area nasty with mold, and leaves everywhere and smell of urine so bad we had to leave, and go back home. We were at the Weston on Miami beach, THAT was the Best. Im still dis0pointed .Never again. this fort lauderdale location gives every Westin hotel a bad look!
