not a bad place to stay
jay blanco May 23, 2009
my overall experience at this hotel was a little better than i expected from previous reviews. the cleaning ladies were on ... time every morning at the same time check in was less than 5 mins. there is a tiki bar right next to the pool which u get a complimentary drink at check in. there is a restaurant in the hotel which is great for family dining, was not that busy in there had to wait about ten mins for a bagel with creamcheese but it hit the spot. there is a golf course across the street basketball and tennis courts on site. the only bad thing was the ice machine on our floor was broke. dennys right down the block along with walmart walgreens applebees wendys not to far a great japanese buffet which was worth 15 dollars. great area to stay i would def go again.

An empty hotel is errie and makes you feel like everyone but you knew it was not a good place to stay! Then the elevator ... that moved before the doors shut, hung up between floor one and two- then opened when it said floor 6 but it was floor 7... scary!

Great getaway!
Marilyn & Justo May 4, 2009
The hotel stay was nice. We liked the view from our room. The only complain we have is of the country club. We were guests at ... a wedding reception at the country club on 4/17/09. In the room next to ours there was a party with young kids attending that all looked like thugs. While we were exiting there were shots fired. We were all scared, we didn't expect to experience that when the party was booked in a nice resort. Felt bad for bride and groom because their wedding night was ruined.

Disappointing
Aunt and Niece Apr 22, 2009
We are a 67 year old female and a pregnant 23 year old female. At checkin, we were informed that there was an additional $15 ... per day RESORT FEE which we were not aware of, in addition to the prepaid fees we had already submitted. There was no Bell Staff to assist in getting our luggage to our room. The room was stifling hot on arrival. There was no microwave or refrigerator. The telephone didn't work. We hung the room service menu on the outside of the door as indicated for an early breakfast, but the menu was never picked up. There wasn't even a plastic bag for dirty clothing, and no guest laundry facilities. While walking around the room in our stocking feet, we were accumulating long black hair on our socks, which led us to believe that the room hadn't been very well cleaned. After visiting the "business center" where we were to print our travel documents, we were informed that the printers had been disconnected, due to some sort of malfunction. At this point, I nearly 'lost it', so they finally decided that they could pull up our travel documents online at the check-in desk, and did manage to get them printed for us. I'm trying really hard to find something positive to say about our stay, but it is difficult at best. Needless to say, we would never consider staying there again.

I wouldn't call this place a "resort"!
Traveling Quilter Mar 16, 2009
From the first day we checked in things went downhill. The ice machine and soda machine on our floor were not working and ... never were fixed during our stay. We filled out the "room service" door hang tag for breakfast so we could save time in the morning and it was never picked up. After we discovered it still hanging on the door and calling in our order using the menu in our room, our order arrived in good time but the bill was about 35% more than the prices on our menu, not including the 20% tip, which was expected. When we showed the waiter our menu we were told is was an old menu and no longer in effect. She had to check with her manager, but did correct the amount but we didn't get the juice and coffee that was supposed to be included. That night at about 11:30 some very noisy guests checked into the room next door and we had to complain (to no avail)about doors slamming and loud talking in the hall after midnight, probably made worse by the 1" gap under our door and to top that off we never got our wake-up call we had requested for the next morning. The second day we returned to our room after a 10 hour workday to a room that hadn't been touched since we left in the morning, no clean towels and beds still unmade. In addition to these problems we were charged $15.00 a day for "amentites" but when we asked for a listing of what amenities were available there wasn't any listing available. When we asked what "amenities" this fee covered, we were told it was for the coffee in the rooms, a free newspaper, use of the fitness center and pool. These things are normally included in the price of the room! There was supposed to be a spa but no indication of what hours and services were available. There wasn't any guide in our room of hotel services, a directory or map showing the location of anything. We asked to speak to the manager but none was ever available and even after all these disappointments and complaints to the hotel staff we were given no offer of adjustment to our bill and the promised phone call from the manage was never received.

Dissapointing Stay
golfgolfo Feb 15, 2009
This was a short weeend break so that we could kick back and relax, we were glad that it was only two nights, we would not ... have stayed more. The hotel has seen better days and the decor is both dated and worn. On the plus side the no smoking policy meant that the hotel smelt fresh. However, the minuses far outweighed this and included Mildew around the bath, toilet seat did not fit the bowl (decidedly dodgy for an adult sized person), some of the staff are sullen, most noted in the bar, and unhelpful at reception where I could not even arrange for a letter to be posted, ameneties were not available as advertised (beauty parlour, spa)which was a big dissapointment for my daughter and were part of the reason we chose this resort We will not be back and find it hard to recommend

Roberto Nov 29, 2008
Pool was okay, Tennis court was not bad but no lights at night, Gym was okay but small, The bar had a pool table but ... they charged $50 an hour, Only 2 computers with internet access (one day I had to look for the extensions and connect them my self) We had some business partners that called us more than 5 times and were transferred to the room (the answering system was not working, front desk never thought about checking what happened) Before we left that same day that our business partners called us we told the front desk that they would call and left them a message the front desk never told them anything and when the person assigned from the afternoon came in they never told him about our message, this affected our business. Another problem that we had with the front desk was that I asked them if the metro zoo was open and they told me no I called the metro zoo and they told me yes, and they said that they called them, The hotel was not bad but the customer service experience was unsatisfying,

This was a dump in the middle of a very bad neighborhood. The pool area was so filthy and full of mold that you did not feel ... comfortable sitting out there. The entire outside area was in horrible repair and the dining options were not even options. They were closed for one reason or another every day. The staff didn't even have their stories straight as to why they were closed.

Where do I start, lets see. We arrived around 9:00 pm at night and tired, low and behold the elevators all (3) did not ... work. Waited in the lobby for 40 mins. AT one point in our stay we carried luggage down 8 flights of stair because elevators were not working. To get too the room, only one place to plug the iron in under a desk table where my wife proceeds to get a staple from the rug in her hand when she has to crawl under it to plug iron in.Ice machine on our floor did not work and the slider door to the balcony was so badly hung that it had a 1/2inch gap in the jam and could not be locked except with the security bar. There was also a 3/4inch gap along the floor on our entry door.
