the location of this hotel is really great, and that's the only good thing about it. Actually, the price for this hotel is ... cheap so i was not surprised that our room was a disaster. Cleaning service is terrible. this is my second time in this hotel, and this time i am sure it will be the last time because of the bedbugs.

The boutique is a rip i just walked down to 7eleven to buy my snacks and beverages. My overall experience was a good experience. The hotel is in a nice location, nice people and I would return again.

Just walk. Don't take the taxi it can be a big rip off with the traffic in Ft Lauderdale.

Terrible hotel
Frustrated Apr 9, 2009
The first night we checked in, our room had to be changed because the sink clogged. The water in the bathroom was yellow. ... The shower never had hot water - only luke warm for a few minutes at best. The maid service was unpredictable, not coming every day. The room was very small and the carpet always felt "damp". The pool was nice and the location was great, but I am sure we cold have found 10 hotels much nicer (and cleaner) any where on A1A.

Great Location, In need of renovation
Nathan Dec 3, 2008
The Sea Club Resort is in an excellent location, right on A1A right across from the beach and just minutes from a mall, ... restaurants, and about anything else you'd need while on vacation. The hotel is in need of some serious renovations, which were underway during my stay. My room was on the fourth floor, and there were a number of workers on the third floor tearing out carpet and mattresses, etc. The work stopped long before I went to bed, and I was always gone during the day - so noise wasn't an issue. The closet was adequate, but only had 8 hangers. The room safe requires a daily charge, whether you use it or not. The beach chairs and towels are complimentary for your use at the beach. There is a small shop for sundries and drinks, and an ATM in the lobby. The bathroom was very small, with no counter space. The cable only picks up what seemed like a handful of channels, and it didn't seem like a standard cable package. There is no business center. And the only place you can get wireless internet access is in the lobby, or in certain spots in the restaurant. The restaurant is a great location, with good food though a limited menu. There is ample parking, as long as you're not driving a large SUV or truck - the spots are very tight. If I'm in FLL for a weekend and want somewhere cheap to stay on the beach, I'd consider staying here again - in one of the renovated rooms. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Great for one night
Donald Nov 14, 2008
The Sea Club Resort was an okay hotel to spend one night in. The rooms were fine, the checkin was ok, although I tried to ... call when I was on my way there and they didn't answer the phone. Right across the beach, easy to find. The bathrooms could use a little maintance, the faucet sprayed water everywhere, and took a very long time to drain.

Romantic Getaway
Gustavo May 12, 2008
We could see the ocean from our window (not from the bed of the room). It is a good .7 mile from the all the restaurants and ... bars. The room does smell a bit humid, but then again, all rooms that have AC units in South Florida smell like that. Recommended for laid back couples that are on a budget. For them (and us) it is a bargain!

All the restaurants on the beach are cheesy and expensive. They all have theme (Mexican, Spanish, French, Italian) cuisines, yet they all offer the same. For more choices, and better food drive to Las Olas Blvd, where you will find nicer restaurants.

Room's in need of TLC
Frederick Apr 20, 2008
The room were extremely dark. The light blubs need to be replaced. The lamp shades were bent out of shape. The bathroom ... ceiling needs to be painted. The bathroom sink was hanging off the wall when we arrived on day 1. It was finally repaired 24 hours later. The water pressure in the shower was excellent. We needed to cross the street to get to the beach, but that was lovely. Sea Cove Spa.

This Hotel has a great location right on the beach. If you don't like a clean room and nice paint on the walls and the very ... run down look this is the place to stay. It by far was the worst place we have stayed in. We vacation alot and our spring vacation was not a very good experince as far as the hotel was. We Love the Ft lauderdale area but the was very bad.

I would suggest this to the younger croud, it is an amazing hotel. priced well and has all the fun with in walking ... distance. the beach is just a walk across the road and is a popular spot, the restraunt has a good staff and the food is great, the bar is a fun hang out and has some very special locals that are fun to get to know. I really enjoyed my trip, and my stay. I went during spring break, the main part of the adventure was for bike week, but that is another story...

The Sea Club Resort has a great location right on water front. Very old place. They really should take Resort out of the ... hotel name! Even though we had a great stay. Rooms old and fairly clean. We were after the rate and location rather than luxury accommodations. Staff extremely friendly and restaurant was very good. I would go back.

Renee Feb 21, 2008
The room was somewhat shabby. The drapery was hanging from the rod, which left open space in the window. There was a hole ... in the bathroom ceiling, which I put tissue in. The carpet was filthy. There was'nt a microwave. I definitely won't stay again. The only great asset was the location, across from the beach.

Erik Feb 19, 2008
The Sea Club is destined to go the way of all of the other older mid-century motels along this strip and most unfortunately ... the staff and ownership knows it. Little or no concern for customers. Check-in took 1 hour. One person running the show. Check out others. We saw several that looked much better.

There is shopping, dining, nightlife, fishing, and even a watertaxi( which is a great way to travel to bars and restaurants all day, as well as learn about the celebs and multi-millionaires you pass while traveling up and down the intercoastal) nearby.

If interested in a tour on the water take the Water Taxi. $12 and you can get on and off all day until midnight. You will get almost as much information as taking one of the cruises that goes up the intercoastal waterway, and this is a much better deal.
