Perfect Location but could use some work
The hotel is in a great loction. If the owner put some money and time into the place it could be a great boutique hotel. Bring your flip flops, the rugs have seen their better days..........

Gross!!
The hotel is just gross! The carpet in the halls and the room is so stained i wore my flip flops to and from the bathroom. The soles of my shoes stuck to the floor! The paint was peeling and the tile in the bathroom was cracked. The elevator sounded like it was on it's last leg and there was a dirty ashtray next to the elevator. The photos were of nicer rooms and probably photoshopped because our room was just GROSS!! We stayed because we hadn't the money to stay elsewhere, but i will never stay there again.

Needs SeriousUpdating
Located across from beach is the only asset this hotel affords a guest. The staff were very helpful, but the rooms and building need extensive work. One room we looked at had a broken slider (unable to lock) to a balcony; one had a broken AC unit. This was later fixed, but one night was enough. Part of hotel still looked like spring break was still on; carpets stained, odors and not well lit. Unfortunate that hotel has perfect location but needs serious work to make it more habitable.

The worst hotel I've ever stayed at.
It was the dirtiest nastiest hotel that I've ever been to. Everything was worn out and ill maintained. The sink faucet wasn't even attached to the sink. I question whether the beds were clean. The bathroom was nasty and didn't have a vent. We had a third floor room, which makes you wonder how all of the water damage occurred to the bottom of the doors and walls. Imagine a hotel like you would expect to find in the shadiest of areas, and that is what this is. If I could rate zero stars, I would.

Don't do it
I stayed 3 days at this hotel, but was scheduled for 4. I left early due to a very nasty manager. There was also one waiter at the restaurant who totally ignored my son when he was trying to order. The odd thing is, 85% of the rest of the staff was phenomenal, friendly and bent over backwards for my family, most of the restaurant staff was wonderful, it was just one bad one and the rest of the staff, maintenance and other front desk staff was great, but the manager is very rude. The food at the restaurant was good and the female staff at the restaurant was SUPER, the location is great but the hotel overall is run down and the elevator is a death trap, the location is what sells people and the price, but if you get the one bad waiter or interact with the nasty female manager, that ruins all the good points about the hotel....the Avalon down the street is better.

Really bad experience!!!!
I've traveled all over the world and not sure I've stayed at an aesthetically less pleasing of a property than this one. The staff was nice (can't blame them!) and the location across from Ft. Lauderdale Beach was terrific, however the hallways were the dirtiest I've ever seen, the outside doors were not locked and the rooms needed some basic renovating 20 years ago therefore basic maintenance or upgrading has not been at the forefront of ownership objectives. Probably ok for college males who would care less where they sleep on Spring Break, but scary for a family experience!

"THE SEA CLUB RESORT DISASTER"
The Sea Club Resort was absolutely horrible. Not only was it old, but it was unkept. When we first arrived, my husband commented, "I feel like we are on the run." The sink had aluminum foil around the pipes. The curtains were old, dirty and had holes in them. I checked the bed for bed bugs, but happily didn't find any. The lobby and the room smelled of stale beer. We did everything we could to stay out of the room. I hated crawling in that ancient, squeeky bed every night, but we prepaid our stay and couldn't afford to go any where else! They didn't change the towels. When I called for fresh towels twice (in the same day), they never came. I had to go to the lobby to get them. When we asked for an ironing board, the lady said that she would bring one right away and never did. The windows were filthy. The Sea Club Resort experience really ruined our trip! You should have seen the expression of all the people stuck staying there. They looked like they were attending a funeral. If this is what you consider a 3 star hotel, we question your rating system and judgment. With all of the other websites out there, we would definitely consider using other websites for booking our next vacation. Do yourself a favor and take them off of your listings.

DISAPOINTING!!!
Location...great...hotel not great, it's rundown (not kept up). We didn't get the 'free' continental breakfast because we booked it though on line travel. The elevator was horrible and small and smelled awful. The restuarant food was actually quite good, but not great. Would not stay there again or recommend it. Don't know why it has a 3-star rating...it should be one or below. Sorry, but we were very disappointed in this hotel.

What a waste
Dirty hotel
The staff was not friendly. We asked if they can print the plane boarding pass and they said they don't have computer in the reception. The hotel is dirty along the hallway, inside the room. But we can tell that the cleaner has done their job in cleaning the room. We were forced to pay for a $ 4.4 safety box charge upon check out base on a notice on the counter and we never use that box. This is deceptive trade as no one has ever mentioned about this charge to us. The location is wonderful. It is such a pity that the hotel is so run down.
