A taste of tropical tradition on Los Olas Boulevard

Riverside Hotel holds the enviable position as the only hotel on Las Olas Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale's most fashionable address for boutiques, nightlife, galleries and restaurants. Besides the location, the hotel aims to be a one-stop destination for leisure and business. During a stay at the Riverside Hotel, guests can unwind in the heated outdoor pool, dock boats and dine in the on-site restaurant. Tropical-styled rooms celebrate the waterfront setting.

Highlights
  • The only hotel on Las Olas Boulevard
  • Close to Fort Lauderdale Beach, Port Everglades and the Broward County Convention Center
  • Boat docks for vessels up to 150 feet
  • Outdoor heated pool and poolside food service
  • Tommy Bahama décor and water views
Rooms

Riverside Hotel rooms have a taste for tropical style. Guests choose from three types: classic style by Tommy Bahama; traditional, characterized by dark woods and floral prints; and executive, which feature tropical textiles and terraces that overlook the skyline, Las Olas Boulevard and the New River. Layouts vary depending on the room booked, but regardless of location, guests have free high-speed Internet access, work desk and pay-per-view movies.

Dining

Riverside Hotel treats visitors to in-room dining and regional fare at Indigo Restaurant, open all day for fresh seafood, crisp salads and family favorites. Tasty appetizers also complement the full bar at Golden Lyon Pub, a favorite for fine liquors, brandies and wines in an upscale neighborhood tavern setting.

Recreation

A heated outdoor pool tempts guests year-round at Riverside Hotel--whether the mood calls for poolside cocktails or sunbathing. A fitness center equipped with Cybex benches, treadmills, stationary bike, elliptical machine and more ensure that active travelers fit in a daily workout even on vacation.

Looking to explore the local scene? Stroll to Las Olas Boulevard's best boutiques, galleries, bars and restaurants. And don't forget this South Florida must: taking the boat out from the hotel dock, which is monitored by security patrols and cameras.

good time unaware of some costs!

I guess all i can say is this Location is perfect!Quick trip to Miami(I-95) but out of the hussle and bussle of the fast track. The Staff is excellent,The restarant at the hotel is very popular, even to the locals. They have inside and outside sittng. The seating outside is railed and the public sidewalk runs in front of the outside dining area, the view is great if you like to people watch and feel the atmosphere of this part of the city. .Shopping and alternative dining is right in your face when you walk out the hotel. The conciere is very helpful to help you manage your time while you are in the city. The hotel staff make your experience a personal one , most of them call you by your first name after check in!The rooms are a little small, but the beds are comfy and the bathrooms have a tub and excellent water pressure if you prefer a shower. The showerhead is mobile, and you can increase or decrease the height.(small details are important to us)They could have more TV channels and the movie rentals are too high for the cost of the rooms. The Hotel is older so they have ajoining room doors that are made of wood,(double doors)so it was kind of uncomfortable late at night,if you got a little noisy. The hotel should consider securing the doors more and reseal them. You may try to negotiate the valet parking when you book your reservations.the cost for valet was high, and the public hotel parking was only a little cheaper.(Parking was per day)Then you feel as though you must tip the valets everytime! they should reconsider the valet cost. all in all the hotels location, courtesy, and resourses overshadowed the not so positive experiences. Riverside is a good place to stay for the traveler that wants to get out and do things in the surrounding areas.easy access to main interstate and all shopping and dining in the area. The lobby is like a upscale huge living room with a bar and good places to sit, relax to hang out or read etc. WE WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN! THANKS RIVERSIDE STAFF YALL WERE EXCELLENT!

Great Birthday Getaway

The Riverside Hotel is a cool vintage hotel in the heart of Las Olas. Staying at a hotel right in the middle of the action was a unique experience for us and this hotel made the overall experience one to remember. The hotel's staff was so friendly and accommodating, rooms were clean and beds very comfortable. The hotel's restaurant offered a nice selection of fine dining options and the quality of food and the service was excellent.

Great Relaxing Stay with Wife

Wonderful staff who always greeted you with a smile and willing to help. If they got something wrong with an order, the manager took care of it, apologized and provided the service free of charge. Great location with all the wonderful shops, restaurants, boats, galleries etc. Smart marketing move to keep $ in the hotel by providing 20% off at the restaurant and 50% of the bar for your entire stay!...Will definitely come back. The pool was great too, right on the river where you got to watch the boats and yachts come thru.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Use the trolley to get up and down Las Olas and to the beach...only 50 cents and no tips required that you would have with a cab.

Average accommodation, great location

If you want to be in the center of the action in Fort Lauderdale, this hotel is a great choice. You walk out of the hotel right into the center of the action on Las Olas. The rooms themselves were pretty ordinary, satisfactorily maintained but showing some signs of wear. Great value for location.
