Experience tropical delight in this renovated luxury hotel
The builders of the renovated Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Port Everglades Hotel cite the Renaissance era of discovery, conquest and trade as their design inspiration. The guest rooms, lobby, restaurant and various lounges feature carved wood furnishings, Renaissance-style window arches and colorful pallets. Despite this emphasis on past greatness, the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Port Everglades Hotel has a full complement of modern amenities, including a fitness suite and outdoor pool to take advantage of the gorgeous Florida climate.
3 Reasons To Stay:
  • Distinct style recalls the Renaissance-era tropical past of Florida and Fort Lauderdale
  • Convenient location just minutes from the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport
  • Wealth of local attractions within walking distance, including the famous Floridian beaches and port
Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Port Everglades Hotel Rooms
The Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Port Everglades Hotel has, above other hotels in the price range, a particularly idiosyncratic, yet appealing style that draws upon the influences of Renaissance-era architecture, fabrics and furnishings. These include period window shapes, dark wood furnishings with carved detail, and rugged, colorful carpets and rugs in guest rooms. Escape to a new vacation experience that, while different, is perfectly fitting with the relaxed surroundings of the city. King- or queen-size beds offer guests a range of prices and options to best suit their needs. For a slightly higher price, enjoy full access to club facilities. This includes access to the Club lounge during weekdays. High-speed and wireless Internet access is provided in all rooms, though use requires a small fee. Cable television with premium movie channels and news channels is also available at the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Port Everglades Hotel.

Weekend getaway

The Renaissance was wonderful. The service was great and I was impressed by the service and cleanliness of the room. I was traveling alone, and I always felt safe and welcome. The lounge and restaurant were extremely good. The only down side was the parking fee of $25. If you have visitors, this is the one downside of the hotel. They should come up with another plan for visitors of hotel guests. Other than than, I would stay there again if Im in that area. Overall, it was a very positive experience.

Fanastic place to stay!

This hotel was chosen for its amenities and location to the cruise port at Port Everglades. You can actually see your ship from your room! It is a great and luxurious place to relax at prior to and following a cruise! When staff made an error, they immediately corrected it and provided an upgrade and free lunch to make up for it. Staff very friendly, but professional at the same time. Pool is AWESOME! Bring your swim suit!

Time-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

Its proximity to the ports makes it convienent! You can see your ship as it comes in! They have options you can choose from, such as leaving your car with the hotel and take a shuttle (fee applies), Taxi/car service, or you can simply check out and drive to the secure port garage located dockside after dropping off luggage with the cruise porters.

Our place in Ft Lauderdale - super nice.

As a couple we have stayed a few times at the renaissance. One of the best pools and hot tubs with privacy and never anyone in them. Great food and drink. Location is perfect along the waterway but a very short cab or car drive to LU LU's and other fun night spots.

Nightlife tip: Short drive from hotel

Just a short ride 8minutes to LuLu's on the beach will get you all the people watching you want. And everything about the renaissance is very nice. You will be surprised how few people are in the dining room once you eat there. Good views of the harbor or waterway.

Great Hotel...Excellent Staff

The Renaissance Ft. Lauderdale was redecorated and was very pleasing. The staff went out of their way to make our stay the best possible. The rooms were very comfortable and had adequate space. Big closets in the rooms. The hotel is located right across from the convention center and very near the beach. The whole experience was great while staying at the Renaisance Ft. Lauderdale! I would definitely stay here again.

Outstanding for Pre-Cruise Stay

Beautiful property. Greeted and assisted by knowledgeable bellhop, checked in by engaging front desk staff, and enjoyed two nights at this great hotel. Room was well-appointed and clean and the bed was soooo comfortable! Location is perfect for cruisers. Drug store right across the street; hotel restaurant excellent and tons of other restaurants within a half mile; grocery and wine store within a half mile; right on trolley line to beaches; and contract vans on site to take you to the ship on your schedule for $6 per person. Perfect!!

The hop-on, hop-off Sun Trolley that passes right by the hotel is great! It's only 50 cents per person and you can even get a coupon off of their website to cut that in half!
