Experience tropical delight in this renovated luxury hotel
The builders of the renovated Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Port Everglades Hotel cite the Renaissance era of discovery, conquest and trade as their design inspiration. The guest rooms, lobby, restaurant and various lounges feature carved wood furnishings, Renaissance-style window arches and colorful pallets. Despite this emphasis on past greatness, the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Port Everglades Hotel has a full complement of modern amenities, including a fitness suite and outdoor pool to take advantage of the gorgeous Florida climate.
3 Reasons To Stay:
  • Distinct style recalls the Renaissance-era tropical past of Florida and Fort Lauderdale
  • Convenient location just minutes from the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport
  • Wealth of local attractions within walking distance, including the famous Floridian beaches and port
Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Port Everglades Hotel Rooms
The Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Port Everglades Hotel has, above other hotels in the price range, a particularly idiosyncratic, yet appealing style that draws upon the influences of Renaissance-era architecture, fabrics and furnishings. These include period window shapes, dark wood furnishings with carved detail, and rugged, colorful carpets and rugs in guest rooms. Escape to a new vacation experience that, while different, is perfectly fitting with the relaxed surroundings of the city. King- or queen-size beds offer guests a range of prices and options to best suit their needs. For a slightly higher price, enjoy full access to club facilities. This includes access to the Club lounge during weekdays. High-speed and wireless Internet access is provided in all rooms, though use requires a small fee. Cable television with premium movie channels and news channels is also available at the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Port Everglades Hotel.

Yes, your hotel is top of the line, Just Beautiful DELUXE One complaint Your parking garage was a total disaster. I was held hostage by the exit gates that would'nt open. Hotel keys just did'nt work. Parking outside was the only answer.

Outstanding for Pre-Cruise Stay

Beautiful property. Greeted and assisted by knowledgeable bellhop, checked in by engaging front desk staff, and enjoyed two nights at this great hotel. Room was well-appointed and clean and the bed was soooo comfortable! Location is perfect for cruisers. Drug store right across the street; hotel restaurant excellent and tons of other restaurants within a half mile; grocery and wine store within a half mile; right on trolley line to beaches; and contract vans on site to take you to the ship on your schedule for $6 per person. Perfect!!

The hop-on, hop-off Sun Trolley that passes right by the hotel is great! It's only 50 cents per person and you can even get a coupon off of their website to cut that in half!

Hotel Renaissance

It was an overnight stay. I felt very comfortable. The amenities did not include a shower cap or mouthwash. Otherwise, a very good hotel.

Awesome Mother Daughter Trip

Hotel was gorgeous! Clean, modern decor! Very acomodating staff! Friendly staff helped with recommendations and directions. Requested a refrigerator, and a fan- Brought it right up to us! Enjoyed the clean pool & hot tub. Gave us a discount on self parking! Loved the "cucumber water" & orange water in the afternoons! Loved it! Would definately stay again!

Galleria Mall & Sawgrass Mills malls are both higher end shopping. We spent more time driving there than we did actual shopping there.

Pleasant stay at reasonable price.

This is a very functional hotel as regards proximity to the airport ( 3 miles) and cruise port (walking distance), and a short ride to the famous Fort Lauderdale beaches, (about 2 miles). The Renaissance offers a very nice pool and hot tub and their breakfast buffet is wonderful and reasonably priced.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

The hotels self park, and certainly valet parking is quite costly; if one is able and willing, overnite and daytime parking is free two blocks west on the street between the Einstein's Bagels and Starbucks.

Trip to Florida

While the room was nice, clean and comfortable...I couldn't believe we were charged $25 per day to park our car. We also did not have free wireless internet service in our room. I could have stayed at any old place and gotten that but not here at the nice hotel. Very disappointed!! Will not stay there again.

Weekend getaway

The Renaissance was wonderful. The service was great and I was impressed by the service and cleanliness of the room. I was traveling alone, and I always felt safe and welcome. The lounge and restaurant were extremely good. The only down side was the parking fee of $25. If you have visitors, this is the one downside of the hotel. They should come up with another plan for visitors of hotel guests. Other than than, I would stay there again if Im in that area. Overall, it was a very positive experience.

Nice Location

We loved the hotel location. Very convenient to get to numerous attractions including the malls, water taxi, and bus service. The staff, especially Debra, at the Front Desk was very helpful with giving us information on all of the attractions and how to get to them.
