Reliable Fort Lauderdale hotel for cruise goers and day trippers

Glad it was only 1 Night
Although the hotel was close to the port, it was probable the best thing going for it. The breakfast was not good at all. Good thing I bought the extra $5 one because I think my choice on the other was toast or a bagel. The room carpet was filthy, socks turned black. Not recommended from me.

You get what you pay for, well, kind of...
It is a place to lay your head. I did not think it appropriate to charge a $5 "resort" fee. This seems a little too much like bait and switch.

In Hotel
Take shuttle to airport even if not going away just yet. From there you can find transportation to different other locations in Miami, Sawgrass Mall and other areas easily.

We were in Ft. Lauderdale to attend a friend's wedding. We spent very little time actually in the hotel. the bed was comfortable. There were no towels in the room when we checked in. The problem was promptly addressed by housekeeping. The room did not lend itself to situations in which it could be occupied for sustained periods of time. It would have been torture for us to have to spend the entire day in that room due to weather conditions , for example. There was no mini refrigerator or any other such amenities. It was a little tricky getting off the highway into the street where the hotel was actually located also.

Oh the planes
Decent
It was a decent hotel for the price and a quick business trip. Only complaint was the airplane noise. I could here them flying overhead all night.

Carpet dirty, roaches all over....
One good things: staff friendly and conveniency of shuttle. Hotel needs renovation, carpet filthy, roaches, etc.. Very poor breakfast. Very noisy.

A good place to stay for 1 or
A good place to stay for 1 or 2 nights before a cruise. The well organised shuttle service (airport and ship) was a treat. While the facilities were a little 'tired' in places it was good value for money. The pool area was very good and a great place to relax after a long flight. There were two options (cafe or pub) for reasonably priced meals. There was also a free shuttle to a nearby shopping centre for any last minute supplies. One negative was that the only windows to our room (and many others) faced the walkways - so you had to keep your curtains pulled most of the time.

not bad not too good
I found a 2 inches dead big roach in the bathroom after I came back from the beach late afternoon and just left it because I wanted to show it to the cleaning lady lol just left a huge dead roach till next day! but hotel was ok besides roach incident lol
