basic hotel with exceptional staff

100 yards from a quiet but a beach just north of las olas. Staff are great - gave us beers when we got there, let us check in at noon and check out at 5 pm. Pool is very clean, rooms are impeccably clean. Free Wi-Fi, lots of DVDs to watch in the ultra comfy beds. Only complaint is the rooms are tiny, not a whole lot to the place in terms of amenities, and it is a bit dated looking but what do you expect for so cheap? Had a great time overall, would return.

Not a good place to stay

was the grossest place ive ever been to had to leave there soon as i got there and went to a different hotel place had bed bugs rooms werent clean and smelled very bad.

Good if you like jail cells

Room has everything as advertised, but would expect at least some kind of table or desk with a chair. Room is tiny. Noisy.

Nice Place, great owners

The hotel itself needs lots of work but it was clean and the management was awesome!! Couldn't have asked for better service!

URINE-STAINED RAT TRAP

The only good thing about this hotel was that it was 20 feet away from the beach. The room was disgusting. There were urine and [*] stains in the bedsheets. The cabinets had ant traps. The towel were stained. And the entire room was dusty. At least they had A/C. I almost threw up when I realized I paid to sleep there.

Location, location, location

The Premiere is right at the center of things. The beach is outside your door and the peculiar wonders of the W Hotel are a short stroll away. Within two blocks you could be paying five times the price.

If you want to see Florida before it became what it is today visit the nearby Bonnet House off Sunrise Boulevard, built and lived in by the family who first bought the three miles of beach that is now Ft. Lauderdale. It is an eclectic, artistic creation that will take you back ninety years and to a world a million miles from the glitz and chintz of today. This is one of the few vestiges of Old Florida surviving in Ft. Lauderdale.

Good, Bad and Ugly

The hotel staff was very friendly. Fully renovated rooms? NOT. I doubt anything has been done to this property since it was built. And, I'd guess that was in the 50s. Just steps from the beach made for a good location. I didn't expect much more than a bed and an air conditioned room for the unbelievable rate of $130 for 3 nights (including taxes). And, got just that. If you just want a cheap place to crash so you can spend your money in restaurants and clubs, this hotel might suit you.
