GREAT LOCATION, NICE AND BIG ROOMS, BUT THE SERVICE AND THE FOOD IS A NO NO NO
first of all, the hotel is very nice located, direct beach access...the rooms are nice and big, the ocean view = wow! with this nice hotel and great location it should be possible, no it has to, to have the "special something"..the restaurant food was very very average till no good (we had to give back the food more then once) and they could also change the menu card for once (we know this hotel since 3 years and the food is always the same) service needs to be better, valet parking rises every year for some dollars more...not nice :-) location, rooms are good if you want to stay in ft.lauderdale on the beach without crossing the street to the beach, but go otherwhere to have dinner! there are a lot of good restaurants nearby (you have to take the car)

This hotel is very nice. Could use some maintenance. Beach was very eroded and not good for laying out. Pool area was nice. Food was pretty good. Beds were comfortable. Staff was willing to please. Note that there is a $24.00/day valet parking fee if you choose to have a car there. If not, plan on eating at the hotel or walking a good 2 miles or more each way to local restaurants. There is a bus, but sketchy at night. One night we were there, there was a wedding rehearsal dinner at the pool, but it was around 7:00 and didn't impact us except they started setting up for it around 4:30. I would recommend this hotel compared to others in the area, but wouldn't recommend Ft. Lauderdale on the whole.

Long walk from hotel
Without a car, plan on walking 2+ miles each way for restaurants. Valet parking at hotel is 24.00/day with no on-street parking option. City bus is available, but kind of sketchy.

Quiet place on the beach
Nice hotel right on the beach, although not near anything of walking distance. Front desk staff is always available to answer questions ... service staff slow. Restaurant is very good - exceptional dinners.

Breathtaking views
We had a great time at this hotel. It is one of the few that is actually located on the beach and the hotel provided beach chairs and umbrellas at no additional cost. Additionally there was a heated pool and lazy river. A huge plus!! The rooms were spacious and nice. We had an oceanfront room and it was wonderful. The drawbacks to this hotel are that there are not many things in walking distance. Also the cellphone reception in the rooms was very limited. Internet requires Ethernet which was also a drawback though they do it include it with your stay - most other hotels in the area charge $15/day for internet access. They do have a business center that you can access the internet 24hrs a day at no cost and free wifi is available in the lobby.

Ocean lovers oasis
One of the best locations for a beautiful experience. Peaceful, private, clean beach for swimming and sunning without having to leave your hotel location. The convenience of a pleasant wait staff for your needs while on the beach or poolside is great. The lazy river in the pool area is enjoyable as well as relaxing. The ocean side veranda for socializing, enjoying a drink or dining any of your meals is a major bonus. This was my second stay here and again a pleasant experience.

Disappointing - should be 3 stars
Was told that they did not have the room type I reserved because it was booked through travel site. Warning: South end of hotel is where wedding receptions are held - noisy on the weekend. Swimming pool is only for splashing around in - no ability to swim laps. Parts of hotel starting to show age. Nearest restaurants are about a 1 mile walk.
