I travel all over the world & have never had an experience like this. I was on a two conference run in Florida. This was my ... time to relax. Arrived @ hotel about 12:30 - 1:00 AM after driving from Jacksonville. Went to bed extremely tired. when getting ready the next morning for a brunch meeting with a Doctor & staff in Lauderdale I noticed a spot on the cotton blanket. After closer inspection found blood on the sheet & blanket (NOT MINE). I took a better look & found blood splatter on two of the pillow cases. Staff gave ME attitude. I work for a medical lab & requested the pilow case so I could run test on the blood. I was told that would not happen. I offered to pay for the pillow case so I could see what I slept in. They refused. This is not over by a long shot!

the lobby area was nice and inviting but when we went to our hallway we could tell this place was run down and gave ... appearance of old and dirty. Room was not at all appealing air conditioner did not work well at all. The staff was good but and there was not where to eat there. I would not stay there again

THEY HAD WATER SPORTS AT THE HOTEL BUT IF YOU WANTED TO FISH IT IS A SHORT DRIVE ABOUT 5 MILES. DID NOT EAT AT HOTEL SO I DON'T KNOW HOW THE FOOD WAS.

the pool was heated and was great. the beach was clean the water was 85. The rooms were clean and the staff was nice you have ... a fee for parking and for the safe in room but the rest was great.

Staff was not friendly at all. If you have a vehicle you must pay $9.00 per day for valet service whether you use it or not - ... we should know about this before making a reservations because I would have stayed somewhere else. Would not let us check in before 3-330 pm.

We stayed at the hotel 3 nights. 2nd night my skin was getting irritated with the sheets. Me and my husband came home with ... bunch of bed bugs bite. I won't go back there no more!

I was skeptical after reading reviews, once there, everything was great! A hurrican a few years back demolished floors 6-9, ... so they are newer. Staff was friendly, rooms were normal and clean. I expected what I received. The lobby is nice, but not exquisite like the reviews stated. I would definitely stay there again. It was a nice, normal hotel. The food and cocktails were a bit pricey, but compared to local bar/restaurants, drink prices were normal. NO Complaints!

The hotel was not located near a lot of activities or restaurants, so I had to rely on the bus service which was not on ... schedule. I loved the fact that the hotel was right on the beach so access to the ocean was excellent. The hotel could have offered a free shuttle schedule for its guests to make exploring in the vicinity more enjoyable. There was not much entertainment in provided by the hotel.

It was great this was my second stay. Hotel was right on the beach across the street was a grocery store, McDonalds, pizza ... place and a good gift shop! Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. They remembered me from my last stay. I will be going back!!

Go to the Winn Dixie and stock up the frige with water and fruit. Also the Tiki cafe at the hotel next door is good and reasonable the pizza place across the street is pretty good also.

Very Reasonable, Great Location

I went to Florida to relax. This hotel was clean, quiet, the pool deck is fabulous. The location was such that I could walk ... to a nearby Grocery store or restaurants but I ate most of my meals at the Hotel's restaurant, ordering from the Tiki Bar, eating outdoors or in my room. I enjoyed the pool, the beach, the jacuzzi and just relaxing in the lawn chairs on the deck.

the hotel staff all in all was very kind and nice and helpful untill you get to the maid service. Very RUDE ( only the maid ... on my floor ). The girl assigned to the floor i was on was so unfriendly and was so rude it just took alot away from my stay there. The very first day I was there I had to call down to get maid service and they were kind and sent the maid up from the 5th floor which was a very very nice lady super sweet and kind, but the one on my floor could care less if i had towles or anything as far as that goes hell i had to make my own bed, she just took alot away from the trip and if it was not for her I would give the hotel top ratings all the way around. One other thing i did not care for is the hotel charging guests to park, that to me is just abit to much, if you are paying for a room and spending money at the hotel why would they charge you to park a car ? That is getting as bad as the airlines now charging for things that should come with your ticket or room.

Hotel is old but very well maintained and clean We had a lovely time. The veiw from the balcony included the ocean and the ... lights of N. FT. Laud. "Beautiful" day and night. Refrig and Micro in room. This is not an upscale high priced hotel but we wanted for nothing. I would recommend to a friend and will stay there again.

Many resturants on Federal Hwy. 1-2 miles for TGI Fri, Outback, Olive Garden and any number of seafood and sushi resturants. Winn Dixie, McDonalds & Dunkin Donuts walking distance.

we were visiting friends- when looking for things to do the hotel really offered nothing. the rooms were not very clean. ... our room was not cleaned till late afternoon- so we did not have fresh towels readily available. The food was not something we were going to

The hotel was clean and the staff was nice. The location was great located right on the beach and fairly close to area shops ... and restaurants. the cost was very reasonable and one of the reasons for choosing the hotel. My wife and I went down there for rest and relaxation and we got just that. It would have been nice if the tikki bar had reasonable prices so we did not have to go else where to drink.

Try Fernanda's at the corner of US 1 and Oakland Drive, about 5 min. from hotel. They have takeout Italian food, olives, cheese's, etc., along with a nice selection of wines. They have a diverse food supplies (olive oil, etc.). It seemed that locals go there. The owner was helpful. Across the street, in a strip shopping mall was a consignment shop called Everything Under the Sun that had interesting stuff.

There is a nice restaurant called "Aruba" down by the pier that we walked up to. Great atmosphere and you can take a walk down the pier for about $2 per person.

I went across the street to DaVinci's pizza twice, they have really good subs. There is also a Winn Dixie at the end of the plaza where I grabbed bottled water, juice and fruits for my fridge. I also got bakery items there since the hotel doesn't have a continental breakfast.
