Nightly entertainment, a lively tiki bar and residential amenities
Ocean Manor Beach Resort channels the best of the South Florida lifestyle, from the beachside tiki bar to the luxury penthouses with sweeping views of the skyline and Atlantic Ocean. Long before a multimillion dollar makeover, the hotel also hosted A-listers like Johnny Carson and Eric Clapton. The property keeps leisure at the forefront, entertaining guests with nightly entertainment and multiple lodging options equipped with kitchenettes, kitchens and terraces for soaking up the seaside vistas.
Highlights
- Fort Lauderdale hotel with outdoor pool and nightly entertainment
- Penthouses with spa baths, balconies and floor-to-ceiling windows
- Some rooms with kitchenettes and kitchens
- Tiki bar and sushi lounge
Rooms
Ocean Manor Beach Resort rooms treat guests to residential amenities like mini refrigerators, microwaves and views of the skyline or Atlantic Ocean via balconies and floor-to-ceiling windows. An emphasis on heavy woods, from sleigh bed frames to hardwood floors, creates traditional style. Suites are tailored for families and big groups with the addition of kitchenettes, lounging and dining areas. For VIP luxury, reserve a penthouse suite, which lives like a mini mansion in the sky with high-end furniture, gourmet kitchens, spa baths and expansive terraces with dining tables.
Dining
The seaside setting plays a major influence on food at Ocean Manor Beach Resort, where guests choose from the laid-back Bamboo Beach Tiki Bar & Café or the lounge-restaurant hybrid, Tokyo Blue. Both serve a heavy dose of ambiance, with the former dishing out casual beach fare, tropical drinks and live entertainment nightly. Sushi bar, Tokyo Blue, brims with eye candy, from the 1,200-gallon aquarium to the illuminated LED glass columns.
Recreation
The outdoor pool turns into a daily--and nightly--party at Ocean Manor Beach Resort as sunbathers, families and the happy hour folks gather on the sundeck or at the tiki bar. When the itch for adventure kicks in, guests take advantage of close proximity to the water with sightseeing cruises, snorkeling and diving excursions.

Horrible Condo-Hotel Accommodations
First of all the Hotel charges a $10 resort fee for the Internet and towel/beach chairs, but fail to inform you that Internet usage in your room is not guaranteed. Second, some rooms like the one we got were condos that the property rents out, which again no one informs you of until you complain. Well the room was horrible, plumbing issues, roach issues, beds/linen were old and dirty. They hotel spent all their money on the lobby and their beach area , which were are very nice but the hallways look horrible, old an delapidated. They still have actual keys for the doors that look like they can fall apart at any time. We did ask for a better room which we were informed that it would be a $20 upgrade. Seriously?!?!! Do not waste your time or money on this "good deal". Oh yeah, you have to pay to park and make sure the teenagers give you the white ticket if you check in or else the next shift will try to charge you a second time.

A fun place with interesting night life.
We've stayed here before in our search for a house. Good food at the Tiki-hut bar/pool. A lot of renovations going on. Rooms are less than consistant but OK.

All and all for the price my stay excellent.
If you are looking for a cost effective solution for casual lodging this was more than accommodating for me… True my room was dated but clean and safe. Beach Café and Tiki bar were fun and cost effective. I enjoyed a Steak and Sushi dinner Tokyo Blue and service was good. All and all for the price my stay excellent.

My wife and I had a great stay at the Ocean Manor. Our room was clean good view of the Atlantic. Walk out the back of hotel and you are on the beach which was very clean and sandy as far as you can walk on shore or in the water.

will be better prepared for extra charges next visit
there is a 100.00 deposit required at check in by credit card or cash....no where does it mention this on the website or on orbits....but they sure will at check in or you will not be able to check in...hotel is under construction, being remodeled, hall ways are old and ungly, then you walk into a beautiful room though. when i booked I asked for ocean front and paid the extra with orbits, and had to pay another 20.00 per night to upgrade from standard to ocean front again at the hotel upon check in. also paid the 20.00 hotel fee (pool use). then if you wanna lounge on the beach you have to pay 5.00 per chair, 10.00 per umbrella, and a 5.00 deposit on a towel.you can also rent boogie boards and jet ski's. The tiki bar drinks are 8.00 way over price the plastic cups worth, theres only one ice machine and its in the stinky basement. Now the inside scoop ...theres a Mcdonalds across the street and a g gift shop called wings next to it that sells all the same stuff as the hotel at half the price...and of couurse no one will tell you this...spent 40.00 on a small lunch at tiki bar...NOW HERE'S THE REAL KICKER THE BAR ATTACHED TO THE HOTEL CALLED TOKYO BLUE TAKES OVER THE HOTEL ON THE WEEK-ENDS WITH DRUNKEN HOOCHIE MAMMA'S BRAULING DRUNK GUYS AND EVERY LOCAL HOOD RAT AROUND...AND THE STAFF AND MANAGMENT WILL TELL YOU.."OH THIS GOES ON EVERY WEEK-END". NOT AND I REPEAT ..."NOT " WHERE YOU WANT TO TAKE YOUR CHILDREN...

research the area, check out the hotels complains and pay alittle more to really be able to enjoy your stay. Cheapest is not always the cheapest and that goes for airlines too.
