Lauderdale by the Sea

Took the Grands for a few days on the beach, the beach was amazing, the room, not so good. Staff was real nice, Loved the community, but the room was not clean, I had to clean it myself, but you do what you have to do.

It was an unexpected trip so not enough time to investigate hotel. Wish I had. Would not stay there again. Although near the beach night time can seem a little unnerving moving through some dim or dark halls.

Have lunch and dinner with family visiting from New Hamshire. We would have liked to have a motel room. Worst ever !

We needed a hotel close to the cruise port. We picked Lauderdale by the sea because it was close and close to the beach. We did not know it was the hotel from back in the day. The lobby was old, the receptionist was new so it took forever to check in. We already prepaid but they still needed to imprint our credit card, and we had to pay additional fees for resort fee, like parking, we had no car, and there restaurant was closed for renovations. We had to walk 3 city blocks to get to the beach and restaurants, and the rooms were smelly, old and had numerous patches where they patched to walls. The only person who knew anything was the bellman [...]and he was helpful in getting us a shuttle to the cruise port.

The Hotel is horrible. Floor are unfinishing and deteriorated. Pool is dirty. They aren't towel at the room ( I have to use paper ). You called the reception, and they DO NOT care. Pluss they charged you 7 dollar a day for "RESORT" free. [...]The picture were taken when the hotel was new 20 0r 30 years ago. It is danguerous to be in this place and very hight price for not reason.

the hotel is old and did not look like it was taking care of. there was a bar and a resturant but they were closed all the time i was staying in the hotel. the room service is bad they just take the trash out and that is it. the people on the front desk are rude and not helpful at all. the only good thing about this hotel is the location and the price but i would rather pay 50 more next time for a better place.

went to beach pool restuarents and shopping. we found this area alot more convient. to restuarents beach and shopping and convient stores

Average. Nothing too special besides the ocean view. House keeping never had enough bath towels.

This hotel is not worth a stay!!!! Please think hard before you pick this one!!! We were appall at the condition of the room! We cancel our stay got a refund then looked for a new place! The room had a bad smell, bed mattress was so old it had a deep crater in the mattress. The towels were filthy and stained beyond belief! The faucet sink in bathroom was broken. I was so taken back I could not believe that they would call themselves a resort and beach club! It is not even good enough for a homeless person. Buy no means should anyone conciser this a place to stay!!!!!!!!! They to closed down or gut the place and start over!

We were there to visit some friends and didn't care too much about where we stayed, since we weren't going to be in the room too much. What we walked into though was less than acceptable. Upon check in, we were told (rudely) that there were no King beds available, even though that is what we had reserved. The condition and quality of the room would not have been an issue, had we been charged $70-$80 per night, but 119 per night and not even on the beach with a 2-star condition, did not sit well. Bring your own towels! Unbelievably small, low quality towels. Laughable.
