Il Lugano Suite Hotel

I stayed at Il Lugano during a leisure vacation and was extremely impressed! The hotel staff was friendly and accomodating throughout our entire stay. The room was clean with a very comfortable king sized bed and a terrace which overlooked a scenic intercoastal view. Each room has a full kitchen and the fridge was full with drinks for and snacks for our enjoying. We used their shuttle service to and from the airport and the drivers were very helpful and friendly. There are many nightclubs and resturants nearby and the drivers are available to take you wherever you need. I would definately recommend this hotel to anybody if they are looking for five star quality and friendliness!!!

The Il Lugano Hotel was terrific. The rooms were extremely clean. I have never encountered a more courteous and friendly staff. Each room had wonderful kithchen facilities with a dishwasher. The rooms also had a washer and dryer which came in very handy. The hotel provided complimentary dish soap and Tide. The location was very pretty. The balcony had a great view of the ocean. They have a complimentary boat and car that can take you places within 5 miles of the hotel. We would definitely stay here again!!

Il Lugano Hotel just opened 2 months ago but the place runs very nicely. The rooms are great, (get one with a view of the waterways, it's better than the ocean view 3 blocks away). Rooms are quiet, clean and the refrig plus stove were great. I would stay here again. **low points. The restaurant is not yet ready. Valet parking cost extra. **High points. Reserve the boat for a short tour. No cost except gratuity for the Captain. Concierge was very helpful. The soft music and low lights outside made for a romantic setting by the waterway. This is not a HUGE hotel but that makes it more suitable for us. Try it.

The room was beyond awesome, and fuly sstocked! The bedding was ultra luxurious. The staff was so wonderful. The let give you complimentary valet service anytime within 5 miles in their new CADDY ESCALADES, WITH VERY PROMPT AND COURTEOUS SERVICE!!

Il Lugano is a brand new property and this makes it a desirable place to stay. We decided not to use the valet parking option as the cost is a bit high, however, we utilized the municiple parking literally right in front of the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to couples. The Concierge is very helpful and the hotel room amenites are excellent. They have wireless throughout and offer a continental breakfast in the price of the hotel room. The hotel is about 20 minutes from the Ft. Lauderdale airport and a couple of blocks from the beach. The actual hotel location is sort of off the beaten path, not much there, but you are litterally on the Inter-Coastal. We had dinner in La Olas section of Fort Lauderdale about 5 miles from the hotel, which is a very nice area and the hotel provides a complimentary shuttle should you not have a car at your disposal.

My room was very nice, but I am a down-to-earth individual and wouldn't mind living without some of the amenities like the in-room washer/dryer, full sized fridge and two televisions. It was definitely the incredible service I received from the staff that made the difference. The room and king sized bed were extremely comfortable and the room and hotel are very clean. The bathroom lacked natural light and the pool was located on the north side of the building which means that if you want to enjoy direct sunshine while your are by the pool it won't happen because the sun will be on the other side of the building unless you choose to swim in early morning or late afternoon/early evening. Our balcony was also on the north side so we didn't get much direct sunlight but the view was beautiful. I wouldn't mind staying at a much more affordable hotel as long as it was clean. The hotel presently does not have a dining room or dining in-room service but they say they will shortly. Again all I can say is the service staff were amazing!

The hotel was great, considering that it only opened at the beginning of 2008, and not all of its facilities are yet functioning (the restaurant is scheduled to open in June and there is currently no room service). The staff were very helpful, and responsive to my requests.

The Hotel was fantastic.

I was apprehensive about the Il Lugano at first because our GPS could not locate it. We had to call the hotel for directions and then found that the hotel just recently opened. If you are wanting a great view of the ocean, this is not the place for you. If you want to be in the party atmosphere of spring break, stay somewhere else. This hotel is off the beaten path by about two blocks and the uniqueness of it's seclusion only lends to it's upscale sophistication. The interior design is modern with clean lines, and the subtle but colorful lighting is the perfect accent to the decor. We had a room on the back of the hotel with a lovely view of the intracoastal waterway which was lined with lovely homes and yachts docked in the canal. It was a picturesque view. The room was very comfortable, spacious and impeccably furnished. The service was excellent with staff not missing a beat. I would highly recommend this hotel to the discriminating traveller.
