THE GOOD & THE BAD

Hotel was in great location but did not live up to the hyatt standards as far as superior service. The room needed major ... updating & not worth the money! We stayed at the Hyatt in Kauai only weeks before Ft Lauderdale. The difference was huge as far as the service was concerned. When I return I will stay elsewhere!

Our room was on an upper floor of the tower facing the ocean...gorgeous views! Yachts and beautiful homes along the ... intracoastal waterway were visible from our balcony, along with manicured gardens and fabulous views of other hotels along the Atlantic. Our room was spacious and comfortable...a beautiful and relaxing experience.

A Great Stay!!

We love this hotel and the location is great. We had a very restful stay. Unfortunately, it was very hot (broke records) ... during our stay. We would have loved to have spent more time out on our balcony, but it was too hot. We'll probably consider waiting until later in the year for our next trip.

Hotel facilities overall great. Maintenance & housekeeping needs to advise appropriate people to fix hardware, lighting and ... plumbing fixtures as required. Enjoyed the pool w/ ability to swim laps on 1st day but pool was unavailable remainder of stay due to repair work. In room food service was good, but housekeeping staff did not replace breakfast order form after initial one was utilized.

Outstanding service by everyone in the staff. The location of the Hotel from the Ft. Lauderdale port is excellent. We went ... on a curuise out of Ft. Lauderdale and could not have had better Hotel arrangements before and after the cruise. I have stayed at this hotel many times and will continue to do so every time I return to Florida for a vacation.

Had a most enjoyable time with 3 friends from VA, FL, and PA.Sunday Champagne Brunch at the REVOLVING Pier 66 Mariner's Grill ... from 11 am to 3 pm with a pianist and singer, with marvellous views, were all SPECTACULAR, with TONS of FUN.Concierge [...] within 20 minutes of my phone call, arranged for a Yacht Charter for 8 of my friends, with food and water from Hyatt. We boarded the yacht from Hyatt's pier.Hyatt's Pelican Bar with splendid water views and delicious foods.

Good location away from the crowd. I felt that charging $19.00 a day for self parking was a bit much. Rooms not insulated ... from outside noise, you could hear all conversations out side of door entry. Late night noises from duck or geese was annoying.

The room was very nice although the pillows were hard. The pool area was extremely relaxing. The hotel is a long walk ... (1-1.5 miles) or a ride (trolley, water taxi or regular taxi) from all the fun restaurants and entertainment. The Pelican restaurant on site which looked very interesting and had a nice long happy hour was closed two days while we were there so we never got to use it. There was no mention of this when we checked in. The grounds are immaculate and the food very good although a little expensive compared to the beach or downtown. Service was excellent. All employees always had a smile

Be sure to take a water taxi ride both downtown and to the beach area ($13 all day pass). The crews are very knowledgeable about who owns some of the mansions, their history and ditto for the 100 foot yachts. If you take the water taxi, I see no reason to take one of the narrated boat rides for $20 which covers much of the same sites.

they did not have toiletries in room asked concierge he stated you have to ask for it we don't just put it in room also ... $19.00 to park would have picked different hotel if known....

Increadible location, the Pelican Landing bar overlooking the main channel is a great way to spend an afternoon watching the ... endless parade of yachts go by. The rooms were impecable, and the staff was really helpful.

Awesome hotel!!! I got to check in at 10am. Pool was very relaxing. Ocean front room was fantastic. Great location if your ... taking a Cruise...taxi ride $7. Shuttle to the beach was very useful. Taxi ride to airport cost $15-20.

What an Awesome place to stay

My wife and I had a great time. A few excellant resturants are located on the property, and the Water Taxi gets you around to ... just about every major resturant, shopping area, entertainment and other attractions in the area. Only used our car once to go to the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, rest of the transportation needs were taken care of with the Water taxi.
