Econo Lodge Inn & Suites

When I first arrived I sat my usual cleaning products on the bed and went to check out the bathroom... turned on the light only to find a big German roach staring me in the face ran got my spray bottle (pure bleach) and sprayed em... started to really bleach the place then... and out came all his cousins, aunties, uncles, sisters, brothers, nephews, nieces and things... then I ripped off the funky comforter and seen a peice of dead dried up roach. Threw the comforter in a corner and found a little baby roach crawling in the sheets... That was the straw that broke the camels back... I went to Target bought a blanket and slept in my SUV!!! It was peak season and every other hotel was Sold Out! The next morning I asked if they rent that room often because the condition of the piece of roach I found only meant to me that the linen had not been changed in years... The crook behind the counter from some third world country over here ripping people off told me they rented the room yesterday... Hmmm??? Now I'm wondering if they even wash the [*] sheets. Bathrooms from the 80's with the blue wall tiles and rust every where so much build up on the plumbing... Place has to be toxic!! I COULDN'T EVEN GET MY GROOVE ON AS PLANNED

We knew we were booking a cheap hotel and thought it would be good enough for the night before we boarded our cruise ship. The first thing we did was rip the stinky comforter off the bed and there sat a large cockroach. We left and stayed at a five star hotel.

Hotel was ok for a night. Location was excellent and staff was friendly-pleasant.

sOME TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION WAS GOING ON ABOVE ME. i HAVE A BREATHING PROBLEM AND DURING THE NIGHT MY BREATHING GOT PRETTY BAD. I HAD TO SIT UP ALL NIGHT. AT 4:OOAM I WENT OUT TO THE DRUG STORE TO GET SOME MED. TO HELP WITH MY BREATHING. BY MORNING,WHEN I WAS ABLE TO BETTER SEE AROUND ME, I FOUND EVERYTHING IN THE ROOM COVERED WITH A THICK LAYER OF PLASTER DUST. I HAD BEEN BREATHING THIS ALL NIGHT. I AM VERY UPSET BY THIS. I TRY VERY HARD AT ALL TIMES TO NOT BE IN A SITUATION THAT WILL MAKE MY BREATHING WORSE. NOW I HAVE NO IDEA HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE TO GET BACK TO WHERE I WAS WITH MY RESPIRATORY STATUS. ALSO THERE WAS A GREAT DEAL OF TROUBLE WITH THE LOCKS AND GETTING THE DOOR TO OPEN. I WAS NOT THE ONLY ONE HAVING THIS PROBLEM. AT THE VERY LEAST I FEEL I SHOULD BE REIMBURSED FOR THIS ROOM FEE. THE PROBLEMS IT HAS CAUSED ME CONTINUE TO GO ON EVEN NOW. I HAVE TO TAKE MORE OF A VERY EXPENSIVE MEDICATION AND MY ACTIVITY LEVEL IS REDUCED. I WOULD LIKE SOMEONE TO GET BACK TO ME ON THIIS PLEASE.

From the outside I was doubtful, but this turned out to be a nice place to stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Short walk to the mall/movies and nice Mexican restaurant next door. Had to drive to the beach, but there was a place to park and walk the beach. Airport was only 9 miles away. I would stay again.

The room was decent-Nice furniture. The location was farther from the airport then we expected. There is only 2 resturants around and 1 bar. The pool is a little small. But it served it's puprose. The front desk people were very very helpful though and the other guests were friendly too.
