Definitely not a four start hotel

My expectation was a four start hotel with outstanding service. The service was pretty horrible. The front desk was a few miles from the actual hotel I stayed. The hotel I stayed had no front desk. They would not give me an ocean view even though the hotel was empty. They charged me an addtionla $8 that I do not know what for. I need to call them now to try to get this back. Would absolutely not recommend to anyone for the price.

Beautiful resort

This is a beautiful resort. Only complaint is that we were there two weeks prior to Christmas and it was a little slow, so the actual building (Bayside Inn) front desk was not staffed. Also they did not have the Kids Club and operation as they require at least three kids to be signed up, although they did offer a reference to a local babysitting service.

Weekend get away

The resort is massive, and the building I stayed in was just one small part of it. I stayed in the Bayside Inn, with a view of the Bay. one recommendation I would have is to read carefully where they plan on putting you so you are a little closer to the main part of the resort and in a nicer building

Second time back!!

My stay here has been great, except for the room on the bay side this past time, they had my room "with a bay view" and I only saw four palm trees which was a little disappointing but the resort is fun and great for the price!!

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

If you eat at "Poppy's" seafood house the food is fantastic, but they limit the seasonal menu, so you must ask if you wish to have the Surf and Turf which is well recommended

Bayside Inn

The Bayside Inn is only one of several places to stay in the Sandestin Resort. The Inn itself was under renovation during our visit but that did not interfere with our comfort. The room we had was an average room with older furniture. It was tidy and comfortable but due to the renovation no staff other than housekeeping were there. The location was somewhat away from the main activities but free shuttles were provided to take you there. Even then, driving to those locations was more than convenient. The best part of our stay revolved around the resort itself. There was the "Village" which consisted of restaurants and shops. There were also several musical entertainment areas that were free of charge. We spent a lot of time there and enjoyed everymnute of it. There are also four golf course that looked really good. Bike riding and trail walking were also available. The biggest drawback to the hotel was that there was no restaurant in it. However, there was a "Another Broken Egg" within a short walking distance and a "Links Bar and Grill" about the same distance away. The "Another Broken Egg" was an outstanding place with great food. The "Links Bar and Grill" was an average, yet nice place. Would I return? in a word, yes. I would probably stay at the Hilton next time but if you are looking for cheaper rates the Bayside Inn will do just fine.

Scout out the Village for dinner eating. There are some really nice places there and plenty of types to choose from.

Fantastic Honeymoon

Our experience was great with this hotel. Only complaint that I have is that our view of the water was blocked by the palm trees. Would definately stay again and recommend!
