Embassy Suites Destin - Miramar Beach

We were so pleased and surprised by the quality of our hotel. The room was attractive, ocean side. There were heated pools since it was winter, a nice exercise room, and the lobby was gorgeous with fountains and many plants. Everything was decorated for the holiday season. In the morning we had an amazing complimentary breakfast buffet with omelets and varieties of juices, breads, and fruit. In the evening, our hotel had an unlimited open bar. A great way to unwind before heading to bed. The staff were friendly and personable. I would definitely go back!

This hotel was great money for the location! Free breakfast every morning and free drinks every evening. Quick walk to the beach too!

The hotel was beautiful.Everything about it was fabulous.It was close to beautiful malls,great places to eat,all tho we ate at the hotel several times,for dinner.Breakfast was included and it was so good.IWe had the time of our lives.I recommend this hotel and I would definitely go back.

We came to destin for some rest and relaxation and definitely got that! The embassy suites was located right across the street from the beach which was great! It was only a short drive to restaurants and attractions so its location was great. We were not so impressed with the strong smoke smell that greeted us every time we entered our room and we had to have our comforter changed because it smelled musty Yuck! The continental breakfast each morning was great though! It was definitely a family oriented hotel and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Overall it was okay but for as much as we paid per night we expected a bit more.

Now on [...]it say's there's a $10.00 internet fee. That is not true, the internet is free, the hotel is clean and well kept. I stayed down there in May 2011 and it was a wonderful experience. The staff was super friendly and recommended a lot of places to check out and eat at. The beach was clean and the parking wasn't an issue. If your looking for a great hotel I definably recommend this place.

This was our 4th stay at the Embassy Suites Miramar Destin in last 5 years. Huge atrium area is a VERY nice place to hang out and relax, read a book or socialize with others without being stuck in a hotel room (especially if there is bad weather during the day, or if you're an early riser and want to let your spouse sleep in). The full made-to-order breakfast buffet is awesome, although if you get there too late some of the pre-cooked food is cold. They recently upgraded the Precor Fitness Room and it is GREAT. As before, we stayed in a Celebration Suite, which has a view of the Gulf. The large 2-person whirlpool tub felt fantastic. Only negative on the room was the bed. Every previous stay, including in a Celebration Suite, we always got a king-size bed and were thoroughly satisfied. This time around they had replaced the bed with a new bed frame (still king size). The bed frame was wooden, VERY high off the floor, squeaked horribly every time anyone on it moved, and the mattress was lousy, leaving me with an aching back. I'm 6'4" and had to climb UP to get onto the bed. My 5'2" wife REALLY had a problem. I don't know who's bright idea this was, but the owner/franchisee needs to try getting on/sleeping on the bed himself. They would then very quickly change out to a lower style AGAIN with more comfortable mattresses. The sheets were itchy and too big for the mattress, which made them come off the mattress ends and twist up on you very easily when you turned over. Since I had to prepay in full to get a slight discount on the rate, I was forced to make the best of a bad situation by sleeping the last 2 nights on the pull-out couch bed in the other room. Though called a Celebration Suite, this room was NOT something to Celebrate.

I took my husband on an overnight getaway for his birthday. We are local, so I had researched condos, hotels and rentals throughout the area. Our room was a very spacious suite, and very clean. The manager's reception was a nice way to start our evening before heading out to dinner, and the complimentary made-to-order omelet breakfast was outstanding. A great value: inexpensive for the level of service and accommodations, without being cheap. While we didn't bring our daughter with us, I would highly recommend it for families as well.

The Hotel was the standard Embassy. The breakfast and the happy hour are always nice. The room had some issues. The floor had an area (outside of the bathroom) that was always wet and the sink didn't work on the wet bar. The beach access was very nice (just across the street). There were a lot of places within walking distance (although we did rent a car). The front desk was friendly. They printed off directions to the airport for us and made sure we had a pack and play for the baby. Overall a nice Embassy!

We loved the Embassy Suites so much I wish we had planned an extra day to be in Florida! The short walk across the street to private beach access was super. The pool and hot tub were wonderfully relaxing. Breakfast couldn't have been better and the nightly reception was nice. We were also impressed with the quality and price of the room service we ordered for our girls. If we had been there one more day, I think we would have had time to work our in the fitness room. It looked like such a nice space that walking by it was painful when we didn't have time to go in and use it. This was our first trip to Florida and we really enjoyed our stay!
