Destin hotel with comfortable feel near beach
It is easy to pass the day on the outdoor patio at the Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Destin. The heated pool and hot tub are surrounded by greenery and comfortable seating. The hotel also makes a great base camp for visiting local attractions, including award-winning golf courses and white-sand beaches. We were there just to sleep. We went fishing all day and just wanted a place to rest up for the next day. The rooms did not have a small refrigerator, which would have made things more enjoyable.. I should have checked when I booked, but I did not.... Did not wow me, but not terribly disappointed either.

Non-Smoking!!! What a joke.
I was in non-smoking room on a smoking floor! Just because my room is non-smoking doesn't mean that whn I open my door the smoke doesn't rush into my room. I had a minor asthma attack the last day I was there. The staff was not friendly, non of them greeted you when you entered the main doors, and they seemed to ignore us the entire time we were there.

Good Price and Good Service
I really liked the location because it was only 300 feet away from a very good supermarket and shopping opportunities. The hotel was also only 1 mile from a very nice and clean public beach. The hotel was only 300 feet away from the major road in Destin which made it easy to drive anywhere we wanted to but it was still very quite. The hotel was clean and the room had lots of space.

The restaurant I really like was called "Bonefish Grill" which is a very nice restaurant with quality food but still affordable.

Great room, great price!
The hotel was in a great location, within 1 mile of the beach, several restaurants, and tons of shopping. The rooms were clean, the hotel was quiet, and the staff was very friendly. We will be using Country Inns and Suites any time we travel to Destin.

Even though the hotel is close to anything you may want to do, a bicycle could be your best friend! All the streets have sidewalks and/or bike lanes, so moving around will be a lot easier on two wheels, instead of four.

The hotel wasn't bad except for the smell in the room. I had to buy Febreeze trying to get the smell out of the room. Also, my room didn't get clean one of the days I was there. But otherwise it is not a bad hotel.

unbeatable location for the price
Some of stayed at this hotel to attend a "Sunset on the Beach Wedding". It was very convenient to the beach (without staying on the beach). Hotel was very clean and had friendly staff. I was near shopping.
