Okay

This is a nice hotel. The grounds are beautify and the staff was friendly and accommodating. There were two negatives. First, we arrived at 3:00 p.m., which is the published check-in time. By 4:00, our room was still not ready. We ended up leaving and coming back later in the evening to find our room ready, and a small care package with a gift certificate for the inconvenience, which was very nice. Secondly, our room was pretty loud. The rooms have tile floors, and our neighbors had their TV on well past 1:00 a.m. We could hear them quite well through the locked connecting door. My wife said she had trouble sleeping due to the noise. Overall, I liked the hotel and would stay there again. I appreciated the gesture from the hotel when our room was not ready. I would definitely remember to bring some ear plugs on the next visit.

The staff was super helpful and friendly The room was so beautifully decorated/ hand painted scenes on the walls ....too much to describe. 2 pools 6 fountains .... flowers everywhere A corner of paradise in the middle of town. Short walk to the restaurants and stores and the inter- coastal waterway, short walk to the ocean beach It was perfection.

Cute getaway

It was nice. The people were very nice and the pool and tiki bar were cool. I thought it was over priced for how out dated the rooms were (as most hotels are) but other than that... it was safe feeling and you could walk to everything.

VERY AVERAGE: SLEEPLESS IN DELRAY

Very lush setting/surroundings and an excellent location (close to the beach, Atlantic Avenue, etc.). The rest was fairly downhill from there! Suggest staying away from Room #5. From earlier reviews I asked to be away from the Tiki Bar; however, we were put in #5 which is diagonal from the bar. Wedding reception went all afternoon and into the evening (closes @ 9:00 pm) and was very loud and disruptive for our stay. To cap things off, we had a disorderly couple in room #4 and throughout the nigh and early morning t there was banging cursing, etc. The door adjoining these rooms is paper thin and for $200 a night it is ridiculous the lack of privacy/noise abatement. No one on staff is on premise after 10:00 pm, so it makes these type things even worse. I was told I could have called one of the staff's emergency numbers, but trust me at 2:30 am you are not in the mood to go down to the office to find the number(s) to call (and then wait whatever time it would take to get the hotel). Staff indicated they would say something to our adjacent couple; however, we had somewhat of a similar experience the next night. Final comment, is the so-called breakfast is extremely average at best (a few muffins from BJ's or Costco, and some apples, etc.). The fact that it does not start until 9:00 am is a little late for my taste.

Delray Delight: Crane's

Crane's was exotic, yet down-to-earth. The staff was one of the best staff's we've ever encountered. They were polite, intelligent, eager to please and informative. The room was great. Lot's of space. Loved the kitchen and bedroom, especially. The pools were a perfect tonic for me and my wife,at night with the moon shining down on us. The location, one and a half blocks from Atlantic Ave., was very convenient. We will be back to Crane's. Almost definitely in the next 6 months. Our 22 year old daughter moved to Delray Beach, so we are looking forward to both seeing her again and staying (where else?) at Crane's.

Check out the Lemongrass Restaurant on Atlantic Ave. If you like Asian food (mostly Vietnamese and Thai), this is one of the best North or South of the Mason Dixon line. I highly recommend the gigantic "eel roll." (If you like eel, you'll know what I mean.)

Nice Enough

Arrived late, but was directed to my room key and room via intercom by a helpful and friendly staff member. Was in the room for just a few hours but found it comfortable -- very much a "guest- house" feel. Grounds are very pretty. Only complaint about my stay: Took a long, long time for the water to heat up enough to be able to shower.

Tropical hideaway right in town

I loved the tropical courtyard and the close proximity to downtown Delray Beach and the beach too. Our room was an efficiency-type suite with a full kitchen. I loved sitting out at the little intimate tiki bar by the pool. I have already told all my friends about this great little place. I want to go back soon!

Paradise

It was like being in a little nature reserve...lots of magnificent vegetation with waterfalls. The colorful decor in and out was extremely welcoming and of course the staff was great. We also got an upgrade to a suite which made it even better.

Tropical Paradise

I will never stay in a big concrete box hotel again. This really felt like a home away from home. The lush tropical greenery throughout the resort was so very relaxing. There were little niches with chairs, tables, benches & fountains throughout the grounds where you can go & find privacy amidst the various foliage. If you want total relaxation, this is the time to go...in the off season. The beach is a short stroll away as well as restaurants. The room is lacking nothing. I can't wait to bring my friends & family here!

Great Place

Crane's BeachHouse was lovely. The grounds and the accomodations were outstanding. Each suite is decorated in a unique way and ours was very comfortable. The Staff were a pleasure to deal with. We'll certainly stay there again.
