Holiday Park Hotel & Suites

Hotel was closing next day and being torn down to build condos. We were never told. Property was run down with overgrown weeds and shrubs. Pool was filled with mud. Room was unclean. We found a couple of bugs. No toilet paper, tried to use the room phone to call front desk and unsuccessful. Phone broken. No breakfast as promised. An additional charge of $2.00 mandatory for a small safe on a floor which we did not intend to use. We arrived at midnight and was forced to stay as we requested a refund and was denied. We complained that night to front desk and was told to wait until morning to talk to the manager. Next morning we were told that the manager was not in , so we left and called the manager later that day and she never returned our call.

staff was very unprofessional & not helpful, had to call everyday for something forgotten by maid service (no towels), mold in bathroom, very disappointing!!!

contemporary breakfast was not a hot meal. no sports channel , not enought towels sheets need to clean everyday the sink faucet water over flowing

We spent three weeks here in Feb. We did not see any bugs of anykind including bed bugs, no rats either. The garens look good and are still recovering from a hurricane from several years back which did a lot of damage. We did have a problem with water leaking from the bathroom under the wall onto the carpet keeping it wet all the time, once we told the Mgr they moved us to better room for the same price for the last week. They do have an adiquate breakfast. We saw them cleaning the pool daily and a pool company on occasion, we also saw them cleaning the windows several times along with the parking lot and grounds. this is an old Motel and has seen better days but we were there to see Florida a not spend all day at the Hotel this is n ot a resort. The pool is nice but not heated which won't matter if is summer. The location is great!!. Would stay again. The place was packed on the weekends. They also have laundry facilities.

Hotel was far from attractions and nice places to eat. Had to change rooms due to shower not working and carpet was D I R T Y. The second room was prety clean but not perfect. No working alarm clock, no iron or ironing board and the safe that was supplied was not in working order. Also, wifi was only available in a limited area and did not work for several other people that were staying in the hotel.

My husband and I were meeting a friend in Fort Lauderdale and this was one of the cheapest places around. For the price, I thought we got an amazing place to stay. The room was very clean and came with a lot of amenities (i.e. coffee maker, ice box, hairdryer, shampoo, etc.). It also had a nice pool and some beautiful greenery in the courtyard area. I would definitely recommend this place to any budget traveler.

I did not like the smell of the room and the bath tub was not clean

For a few more dollars you could stay across the road at a much nicer hotel. The staff was great, but we were in the side of the hotel that had not be renovated yet, and the quality was not great. Definately check into other hotels in the vicinity unless you are sure that you are in the completed rooms before booking at this hotel.

Our room was clean & smelled nice & clean. The grounds were clean & well kept. The staff was friendly & helpful in referring us to a very good local seafood restaurant, The Whale's Rib. But on the down side the ice machine didn't work & there was loud music around the pool area late at night. I didn't feel safe enough to go outside alone at night. Not sure about refering to a friend, maybe, but with these details so they could make final decision.

the hotel was very nice, but it could have been a little cleaner. also, the other patrons at the hotel were a little suspect as far as their personal reasons for being at the hotel.
