Recharge the batteries at quiet, boutique Daytona resort on ocean

This boutique resort rests on an idyllic spot south of the Daytona strip. The 23-mile long beach is the main attraction, luring guests for sunning, swimming, or more active pursuits such as fishing or bike riding. Just as tempting is the pool deck, where tropical drinks are served from a Tiki bar. Within minutes are charming waterfront restaurants, marinas and a world-famous lighthouse. Make a day trip to Florida favorites, like the Kennedy Space Center, Disney theme parks and Universal Studios.

Highlights
  • Complimentary continental breakfast
  • Private balconies with stunning ocean views
  • Oceanfront pool with poolside bar (seasonal)
Rooms

The modern, airy guest rooms at Acapulco Hotel and Resort are located in an eight story structure just steps from the Daytona Beach. All rooms have private balconies with breathtaking ocean views and are equipped with remote control TV, refrigerators and microwaves.

Features

Acapulco Hotel and Resort is located on the southern part of Daytona Beach, giving guests a more peaceful respite from the more crowded areas. The beach here is wide and stretches for miles in both directions. Water sports enthusiasts swim, surf, fish, or head to nearby vendors for jet ski rentals. For more sedate activities, relax on a beach chair or poolside, where the Bohemian Bar serves fruity cocktails.

Dining

Free continental breakfast is served at the Acapulco, and excellent dining is available within minutes of the resort. Our Deck Down Under, under the nearby Port Orange bridge, serves mouthwatering fresh seafood on the river. Slightly further south is charming Ponce Inlet, home to one of the world's tallest lighthouses, marinas with fishing charters, and riverfront restaurants.

Business trip

The room was not clean every day had to call down to desk for items not left in room, deck hadn't be clean for over a month I think. Last the charge for parking and use of pool (in Dec.) and room safe is not right. I would pay a higher room rate than get told about this.

Third Time Not a Charm

Third stay here. Surprise! They now charge $2.50 for the average continental breakfast. Man, just hide that in the room fee and let us think a "free" breakfast is a good thing! Cleanliness less than we remembered. Cold at night, and room heater did not work. Reported to front desk and came back to room following night to find the heater partially disassembled in the room and still not working. Upon my complaint, the hotel waived my resort fees, so that's something I guess. No more Acapulco Hotel for our family.

5 days in paradise

The girl at the front desk was kind and helpful. The efficiency had all we needed. The beach is literally 150ft from the back door. Rooms were clean. It was a great vacation and I'll stay at the Acapulco again.

We made the best of it

The staff was not very friendly or concerned about our stay. Once in the room we noticed it was not vaccumed, carpet was damp bathroom smelt. The fridge was dirty! The coffee machine wasn't washed nor the coffee mugs! We had to fight for pool towels and Utinsils. It wasn't friendly or clean but we made the best of it

Rooms are clean and cozy

this one is Ok for the money... The jets in the hot tub barely work, and the pool area is a bit outdated. Bit it's clean and the staff is excellent

Hidden cost

The hotel wasn't too bad and the hotel staff was very friendly. The room was pretty clean but it was only cleaned every other day. Every room does have an ocean view but our view was between the hotel and the condo next door. Not a big deal though. The pool was very nice. My kids loved it. What I didn't like was the hotel charges for parking. This was stated in the hotel description at $5.00/day. What wasn't told to me is that it was increased to $8.00/day There is a charge for the wi-fi internet service which was not told to me and since my daughter played with the buttons on the room safe one night I got charged for that and didn't even use it. It didn't add up to much but it would have been nice to be told about the charges when I arrived at the hotel instead of being surprised with it when I checked out. Otherwise I wouldn't have used the internet.

NEVER AGAIN !

This hotel was disgusting. There were dead "love bugs" all over the floor of our room. There were also dead bugs found on our comforters. I don't feel as though I should have to ask for someone to clean my room 10min after i get into the room because there are dead bugs that have been there since God knows when.

A Vacation I could enjoy

A great Location a little off the beaten path, but close enough to everything one could need. At least for this traveler. Planned ahead to find what fit my needs and the Acapulco meet these wonderfully. At first room seemed a little dark but was a relief after the bright Daytona sun. The staff was friendly and helpful. Pool was well maintained, chemicals well balanced.
