Luxurious, romantic getaway at chic oceanfront resort on Daytona shores
The Shores Resort & Spa is a few miles south of the Daytona Beach strip, an appropriately remote location for this sophisticated, stylish retreat. Beautiful hotel, but the location was away from any shops of any sort. Staff was not very knowledgeable about trolley or bus schedules/routes. The rooms were wonderful, very comfortable and wonderful ocean views. Would stay again if they didn't nickel and dime you to death. . . everything costs extra, and they tried to charge for items from their mini bar that we never used. Had to argue several times to get charges off the bill. Also have to pay $17 fee every day for internet which was very unreliable, kept throwing me off when I was trying to work and for pool use (which you are not allowed to take your own water/snacks, but must purchase theirs at high prices). $25 a day for 2 chairs to sit at beach. Guess I am used to staying at oceanfront places who provide these things. Also a refrigerator and microwave in the rooms would have been nice.

Great hotel. Great staff. Rooms were awesome & we splurged for the balcony (best decision). We kept saying we would definitely stay here again. It is away from the main strip/pier area (another plus) so a rental car will save you money and time.

Couple of nights at Bike Week!

Great Hotel
The Shores Resort and Spa is a very nice hotel. The location was great-away from main street, but still in a location where there were things to do and places to eat within walking distance or a short taxi ride.

1 night getaway
I checked in on a friday afternoon. The room was available earlier than expect. Went to the pool first. Everything was nice the service was good. But nothing was spectacular. The place was a little run down but still a good value for the price. I would probably try a new place before going back.

Drive a little north to where the good restaurants are. I recommend eating dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company.

Daytona Bike Week
We stayed at this hotel for the second time, and I can say again it was excellent. Staff was incredible and the hotel is very nice.They have a very good restaurant and the location is nice.

Rest for the soul
this was the perfect getaway for a person with a chaotic lifestyle. The common areas were buzzing with lots of fun folks, but the room areas were quiet as as can be. the facilities deserve more than 5 stars and the staff was beyond amazing. For the price, this place is a STEAL! I would definitely return and recommend this to anyone and everyone I know.

Premium Accomodations at a Reasonable Price!
From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. Our room was beautiful, clean, with a fully stocked fridge, large HDTV, gorgeous bathroom, and 4 poster king size canopy bed! Beautiful lobby, wonderful staff, fabulous amenities! We will definitely return! Next time we'll stay longer to fully enjoy the pool, restaurant and spa! The ONLY thing that should be mentioned, their WiFi internet connection is very slow. Had to use our smart phones for internet. Other than that, it was as close to perfect as it gets!
