Stayed in the hotel overnight. Check-in staff was very friendly. Room smelled like mold, was little stuffy. Bathroom curtain didn't look clean, but the rest was ok. Booked it during the 50% off promotion. All was ok for this price, would not have paid full price.

Family trip
Checking in was easy and polite. On arriving at my room on the first floor, I noticed a distinct odor of mildew/mold in the room. It was enough to make me cough. I called the desk and an agent named Mark was very helpful in getting me another room on the second floor which actually made it easier for me to walk to my son and his family's room. I went to the pool with my son, his wife, and my granddaughter in mid afternoon. It was a nice pool with good deck furnishings. .We ate dinner at the Mambo Room and enjoyed our meal. The sound of the waves breaking on the beach was very soothing. Two employees came by my room, separately,on the last day after I had checked out on line. When I told them that I was waiting on my son to come by for me, they were very polite and understanding. The only negative of any consequence was the people who partied on the balcony next to my room on Friday night until 11:30 p.m.

Weekend getaway
Took my wife for a weekend getaway on the beach. The Palms had all the amenities-pool, fitness, restaurant, bar, basketball and tennis courts. Best part of the bar right off the beach and the view from up top. Rooms were ordinary and old like a Motel 6, but did not stay in room too much.

Impressed by hotel, one incident with staff
We arrived to hotel and were ready to take whatever room they had for us, but we ended up upgrading the room to an oceanfront. It was the best room in the place, we were VERY happy. We went to the beach and the heated outdoor pool everyday. The one incident we had was with the cleaning staff and the overnight front desk. We arrived at our room and there was a trash bag pulled out and laid on the chair. Some laundry had been left and the dishes in the kitchenette were not done. My husband called the front desk to ask if we were supposed to do the dishes and they said "that would be nice". We work very hard for the little that we have to spend on vacation, so it was disappointing the hospitality was a little lacking in that moment. It was irritating, but it didn't ruin our trip. All of the other front desk people we interacted with we friendly and did their jobs well. This wouldn't deter me from going back, but it would deter me from paying more for future rentals if the rates were any higher.

Needs to cater to the guests that stay for a week not just weekends
we were there a week and were disappointed they only had entertainment on the weekends and none during the week. the staff we encountered were all very nice. the pool was great but the jacuzzi was either to hot or. Not hot enough. The beds and pillows need a big upgrade along with the bathrooms. will say the rooms were pretty well sound proof from the noise outside. I also feel they should have offered a room with a microwave seeing we were there a week. The hotel is a real hopping busy one on weekends but very quiet during the week and seems that even the pool bar doesn't stay open for the paying guests that stay past the weekend.

Stay Away
Did not get room I was promised, then came back from beach at 2 pm and room was still a mess. Called front desk to see what was going on and was told that I had to wait for my room to be cleaned because they had to get the rooms ready for people coming in that day. I told them I did not read that anywhere when I booked the room. Will never go back there.

Will Look at other places next time
The location of this hotel is fantastic, but that is where it sort of ends. The rooms are very small and rather worn. The carpet was missing along one edge of the room, not worn but missing. The shower had nice hot water, but the bathroom faucets were very old and had to be turned about 15 times to get the hot water. It took 2 phone calls during the week to get someone to come fix it. The Internet was awful. I was able to connect for about 5 minutes a day so if you are looking for a place with strong internet to keep up with things or to download stuff for your family look elsewhere. When I called about the internet they said with the hotel being full it does not work as well. Why not build the system for the max? Room was very small for my family of 4. I wish I had checked on other places because the price I paid was not worth what we got! I would say the value of the room would compare to an older Super 8.
