Great but pricey

We had a great time here. The hotel is beautiful and the staff was friendly and attentive. It's the best location in Clearwater for a beach vacation. Good day trips to Caledesi Island and Dunedin. The not so good: pricey. The rooms are a bit overpriced for what this is and then they tag you with $20 per day for valet parking--and of course a tip every time you take your car in or out. No washers so we sent out a normal load of laundry and dry cleaning: $200! If money is no object, this is a good choice.

Sunset at The Sand Pearl near Pier 60

The pool is not your ordinary rectangular pool. There is a gradual slope for the little ones and plenty of shade and sun. The pool service is excellent and it is nice to have an outdoor bar/restauant right next to it on the beach. Watching the sunset while roasting marshmellows at the fire pit and melting them on choclate with graham crackers was a treat. It was nice to have the samore kits available for purchase.

Great beach hotel

Very nice hotel. I've stayed here a few times, it's probably the nicest property on the Beach. Only two complaints: They could improve on their beds as they are a bit too firm. The service in the Carreta restaurant was slow. I think the staff was short handed. At least this was the case for breakfast/lunch. Also their uniform tops were looking a bit dingy with some visible stains. I noticed this on more than one of the wait staff.

Great Stay!

My husband and I stayed at the Sandpearl for a few days after our wedding. Hotel is beautiful on one of Florida's best beaches. You can walk to some of the best casual dining restaurants in the area (we didn't move our car out of valet for 4 days...) and housekeeping always managed to slip in while we were out of the room. Staff was courteous and pleasant. We will definitely be back!

This was a great trip for our

This was a great trip for our family. The location of the hotel is perfect and extremely safe. The hotel offered many options for families with younger children. The hotel staff in all areas was excellent. The beach was nice. We chose to use our own chairs and umbrella which saved alot on rentals of hotel set-ups. CVS is across the street and has anything you need once you get there. You can choose from vallet parking $20 per day or free parking just a 5 min walk from hotel. What I was impressed the most with is the upscale of the hotel all around and the feeling of being in such a safe location. The pier is a 5 minute walk from hotel and we watched the sunset. The hotel set us up with deep sea fishing and we went to watch the Red Sox play Tampa. Great trip and great hotel. I would like to do a half day cabana rental next stay next to pool. Pool is not small at all but not big enough is my only thing I wish was different.

not that great- not a 4-star

disappointed- I could have done much better with that price we paid. They should charge no more than $150/night. The lobby looked nice- but the surrounding looked ignored. Not sure why. Not kids freindly nor safe. I would stay across the street if I could. I would not pay this money again. Too many extra charges that all add up on top of the nightly stay. They do have good publicity coordinator. They upsell it more than it is worth.
