Pelican Pointe Sunsational Beach Rentals

The pool was clean. The rooms were clean, but had things broken. The front desk people were nice. The insulation was bad. You could hear everything, everywhere at all hours. It is close to many things and transportation would not be necessary

Just stayed there for 2 nights for a little weekend getaway. Hotel was clean, spacious, had a kitchenette which would be great if we stayed for a longer time. Pool was clean. Staff was very nice. Could use a little update. Had a little trouble with parking when we got back late one night all the spots were taken - however, staff was still in the lobby at 12:30 and advised me to park in the handicapped spot. I was not thrilled with the idea but did not have a ticket the next morning and moved my car immediately. But other than that had no problems at all. Great value for being across from the beach!

We were only here for one night. The front desk person was very helpful. The hotel was recently painted & is very clean and very near the beach.

My wife and I were in the area for a concert, but the rates here were competitive with staying in town, so who wouldn't want a beach weekend? The hotel is across the street from Clearwater Beach, less than a mile from the pier. I'd rather pay less and be in a cozy, old-fashioned hotel like this than pay more to stay in a nondescript high-rise on the beach. We stayed in the least-expensive room, which had a double bed, but the room itself was a suite with not only a coffee-maker, but also a microwave and mini-fridge. There were even dishes and a few utensils. This enabled us to make our own meals, save money, and spend more time on the beach, instead of in restaurants.

I was a little skeptical about this place but once I got there I was very pleased. The hotel is near everything, it is clean and big. I don't know if every room is the same but our room had everything, from microwave, blender, coffee maker, they even provided dish washing liquid and paper towel. We were only there for 2 days but left with a good impression. The only thing was the continental breakfast, on Sunday we woke up late and skipped but on Monday morning we went downstairs at 6:30 before we left to the airport and the lobby was closed. So we never experience the continental breakfast. That is minor., We were very pleased and we will back to this place. I recommend it, especially if you have a family.

For the price, you get more room than other same price hotels/motels, and much cleaner than other places I've been in the area. Only steps from the action; right in the middle. Don't expect any luxurious features but my family had a wonderful stay and were very pleased.

Ok for the money but if taking the family the hide a bed is something to be desired. You can feel every spring there is, need some updating! But very centrally located!
