La Quinta Inn Clearwater Central

Everyone was extremely friendly! Room was well kept. Desk help was cuortiouse, and very informative!

I just spent one night. The service was excellent and the place was clean. The only thing I missed was the shower cap.

We did not arrive to check in until about 6 in the evening, yet they said they weren't sure if the room had been cleaned yet. They said I could check-in, get the key, then go check and come back to the desk if my room wasn't ready yet. So I requested they just put me in a any room that was ready and clean. They accidentally charged my credit card twice for a room that was already paid for (which took several days to reimburse). So the alternate room was located on the 2nd floor. THIS HOTEL DOES NOT HAVE ELEVATORS. You will have to carry your luggage up 2 flights of stairs. Also, other than the nice furniture in the rooms, EVERYTHING else is ancient old. The bathroom drain had sewage smell coming out of it. There is also a sliding glass door to patio or balcony in the rooms, which seemed somewhat unsecure. Bathrooms, halls, property in general is very old. I booked this for 65 dollars and what you get is kinda like a $29 hotel quality. I should have just shelled out more money and stayed at a more expensive place and had a good stay for our visit to Clearwater.

When we arrived at 1pm, our check in time, they told us check in wasn't until 3pm. But our room wouldn't be ready until 3:45 because they weren't done cleaning. We stayed with our pets, which was great. However the room smelled like cat pee, but then was drenched in airfreshener. The staff was friendly and helpful (except for the later check in). The cleaning lady was exceptionally nice and helped me when I got locked out because my key card didn't work. There was a place to walk our dogs and a pool.

We were in town for a funeral. The hotel was conveniently located to the funeral home and cemetery. We were able to work in a mall trip and a walk on the beach. The room was clean, but nothing special. There were never enough towels or washcloths. We did enjoy the breakfasts while there.

Highway 19 is under construction until 2014, so get used to some U-turns to come and go. Despite this, the hotel staff were pretty friendly, the room was a bit aged, but clean--especially the carpet. This is a big concern with a hotel that allows pets. The breakfast buffet included sausage, eggs, cheese, and the ever-popular waffles--and the staff work very hard to keep it all clean and stocked! They deserve kudos for their hard work.

last minute vacation and it was my first time in this hotel and it was ok.I own a timeshare in fl,but couldnt fine a last minute resort so I end in this one yes I will come back.
