We were not told about a "resort fee". We did not go swimming. We were handed a Discount Card and were told we could use it for dining at the hotel. We went to the Shor restaurant once. That was enough. We were not impressed. We were not old that the discount card was $25.

Awesome!
Great hotel, beautiful rooms. Only downfall is the bar/restuarant was a little costly. I guess this just comes along with "vacationing". Also we were there both during the week and the weekend and it did get a little crowded on the weekend. Overall we would go back in a second. GREAT PLACE!!

Everything was in walking distance from the hotel. No need to rent a car. Shuttle to/from the airport and cab to/from the baseball feilds.

Close to Everything!
Although this hotel is pricey, every room has a full kitchen - so you can save some money by cooking in your room. Location is excellent - close to everything in Clearwater Beach. No car is needed... Although we didn't bring our kids on this trip, this hotel and surrounding area is very family friendly. Would love to go back!

Pick up soda/beer at the Surf Shop next door and have a few drinks on your balcony instead of paying $6 at the pool bar.

Wonderful location and view
The place is very nice, the view is fantastic!! Beware of the extra charges - for everything - parking, hotel fees, etc. Nothing is included!!! The housekeeping staff couldn't get things right, if you weren't on their schedule, forget it. We had to ask numerous times for things they missed, one time, to have the room itself cleaned, which never got done. Security was making the bed and changing the towels at 11:00 PM

family relaxation
It was a beautiful hotel, great location on beach and nice amenities. I did not like the additional charges for printing forms and using the internet in the business center. I think the additional resort fees should include a minimum amount of time and printing at the business center. They closed parts of the sun decks for private meetings on a daily basis. This was annoying. I did enjoy my stay and would recommend this resort.

Nice hotel but...
We loved our stay here.. It's a beach front hotel and they have a lot of good amenities but they charged us $16 a day for parking. Wish they would stop charging it for their hotel guests.

VERY EXPENSIVE
MY ROOM WAS GORGEOUS, CLEAN AND SPACIOUS. I HAD LITTLE CONTACT WITH THE HOTEL STAFF. YOU CHECK IN VIA A COMPUTER, WHICH WAS NEW AND A LITTLE ODD. IT LOOKS LIKE A KIOSK AT THE AIRPORT. THE MACHINE PRINTS OUT YOUR ROOM KEYS. NO SECURITY. ANYONE CAN WALK IN AND OUT. HOTEL DOESN'T ACKNOWLEDGE YOU AS YOU ENTER OR LEAVE HOTEL. THAT DOESN'T BOTHER ME, BUT IT MAY BOTHER OTHER PEOPLE. NICE POOL. NO HEATED POOLS. RIGHT ON THE BEACH.

Very nice...but too many weddings/parties
Overall we enjoyed the stay. It was nice to have a kitchen to cook in a few meals. However, this place had all kinds of parties/weddings going on which means they close-off the top floor outdoor balcony (which has the hot tub) to all guests.
