- Non Smoking Economy Room
- "Economy Rooms" all overlook the heated pool and include one queen size bed, AC, small frig ,microwave, toaster, coffemaker, cooking utensils, TV WiFi, ceiling fan, hairdryer,ironing board, iron, remote ceiling fan and are slightly smaller than our "Guest Rooms". Smoking is not permitted inside the guestrooms, guests may smoke outside of the rooms.

- "Guest Suites" overlook the heated pool and overlook the water including 2500 sq ft. deck area. A master bedroom with choice of one king or two full size beds. The full kitchen includes full size refridgerator, electric range, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, coffee, all cooking utensils. The living room has an addtional TV, queen size sleeper/sofa, end tables coffee table, ceiling fans and more. Hair dryer, ironing board and iron also included. Smoking is not permitted inside the guestrooms, guests may smoke outside of the rooms

Just adorable
I opened the door to the hotel room and it was this cute, Florida style room with tile floor, palm tree sheets, and beach decor. It was perfect. The sheets and towels were SO SOFT. Out back was the canal, BBQ grill, chairs and sand to sit and relax. Perfect if you like a personal, intimate place to stay. If you like the fancy chain hotels that all look the same, this will not be for you.

Pleasant staff, clean rooms, good location, nice pool with Frank Sinatra type music. The only complaint would be that window air conditioners are too loud unless you like white noise. Would stay here again when in Cape Coral. Great location.

Momma on vacation
Think motel * with bells & whisles
The staff here was a1, the room clean and comfortable. I didn't expect a palace so I was o.k. with the room. we got the smallest one this time but next time ( and I'm sure we'll return) we'll get a suite. Well worth the money. Budget friendly. : )

Location: The hotel is located in a residential area. When you pull up there is no sign of water anywhere however there is a small canal behind the hotel that leads to open water. We did not like the location though we decided to tough it out (wine) and make the best of it rather than ask for a refund. Staff: Obviously a privately owned establishment. They were friendly enough but check-in had an odd flow. It appeared to be a family endeavor with grandma living on the bottom floor with a cage full of parakeets. Cleanliness: As out of date as the room was (circa 1970) cleanliness seems to go hand in hand. The room did not have a clean feel. Summary: If you can't afford better and you want a place with a kitchen then this may be your place. It is old and run down. In comparison, we stayed at a beach condo the night before we stayed at the Hideaway and paid an additional $20 to get a room with a gulf and granite everything. Just sayin...

Short drive from hotel
Ok...maybe not a short drive but 20-25 minutes and you can be @ Ft. Myers Beach. Fun destination with lots to see and do.

Worst place I have ever been in
Room air conditioner was so noisy that we stayed awake the whole night. Bed too short for me. Next morning at 7:30 we checked into another hotel because there was no one in the office to complain about until we returned to pick up our suitcases and return the keys (which had to be giggled in the lock the first night for 20 minuets before it opened, office closed, no emergency number shown). Will never use a mom & pop operation again.

Great Value, great location
We chose to spend our Memorial Day weekend at Sanibel Island in the last minute. We found Hideaway Resort at Cape Coral in the last minute [...]. When we first arrived and looked at the place from the outside we were a little disappointed, because it looked a little bit old. But the owner [...] made us feel very welcome and showed the place around. The rear of the property is extremely beautiful with a nice canal on which you can do boating or canoeing. These are available for free. Both [...] and later [...] helped us get on the boat. [...] also advised us on eating options in the area. The rooms on the inside are extremely clean and tidy and have everything that our family of 6 needed. This is not a high end place but it makes up for it in terms of cleanliness and practicality. There are good restaurants within 2-3 mins drive from the place and it is in a very nice neighbourhood. I do think we will return to this place again. Our son enjoyed swimming in the pool. The drive to Sanibel and Captiva took us around 35 mins from the hotel and we had a very memorable holiday.

Great Environment
The owner was friendly and helpfull. He upgrade my room at no extra charge. Will go back there again...
