Siesta Inn & Suites Near the Gulf

The hotel was in a great location and everything in the room was functioning. I would recommend it to someone on a budget that needs somewhere to stay. I think if they updated the rooms they would have better business. We stayed there to go to Anna Maria Island and it was a great rest spot for the night. The rooms are a bit small however it is okay.

Booking our hotel stay was easy. Arrived at hotel didn't look bad. Got to room and was in need of a major remodeling. Bathroom light didn't work. Room smelt stagnant. Went down to the heated pool. Pool was green and bugs were floating all over it and it was not heated. Go back to room and find bugs crawling on the walls. About a one inch gap under door anything could of crawled in. We immediately left. We to registration and was told the owner would call me the next day. Never happened. I called got some nasty guy on phone and said well your room is still open. I asked for my money back he said sorry its non refundable. Needless to say I found a great hotel to stay at No bugs, pool was heated and clean.. Never would I ever recommend staying at this place!!!

Despite so many negative reviews, we decided to go ahead and book anyways. Let me just say that overall we were surprised. The hotel looks alot worse from the outside. We got an efficiency which was clean and well stocked. Housekeeping left us extra sheets, towels, and coffee daily. The only bad thing I can say is that the description says 6, but only one of our big kids fit on the futon. Thankfully we had an air mattess which fit in the room. I was worried about the noise level with the tiki hut down stairs, but as soon as we were in the room we couldn't hear anything. Overall a nice stay.

We checked in, no linen,just a mattress & pillows. Called desk waited 2hrs. no linens. went to dinner.came back linen on bed. lifed the mattress to check for bugs found grass. went to flush toilet,overflowed. results no shower. went to check out and complain.could only find maintence man. room from below

The room was clean but very tired. The water in the toilet constantly ran.

We went to this motel because they advertised a free breakfast and internet. We got there and found out they don't serve breakfast. Next we got settled in our room and I called the desk to ask about the internet access code. They said there was no internet access in that room. We then packed everything back in the car and moved to a room that had internet access.

The ac ih the room didn't work and they didn't want to do anything for us. We called the front desk and advise them we had a child and she was very uncomfortable. They did bt care and just kept saying we have suits for an extra charge. If you like ants in your room this is your place.

This was an unpleasant experiance at best. The room smelled like something was dead and it turn out something was. We found a small something under the bed when we were leaving that had obviously been there for awhile. The bathroom was infested with small bugs and a bologna sandwich sat in the sun in front of the room for 2 days. The hotels ice machine was empty and the lady at the front desk was very rude when we asked if there was another one on site. When I checked out I was accused of smoking in the room by the housekeeping lady and then the front desk lady snapped at me when I said it wasn't us. I wouldn't even consider staying here again. Be very weary of this place. It's nothing short of discusting

As soon as I walked in the door my daughter sighted three extremely large cockroaches enough said. Beds uncomfortable pillows like bricks and room stunk of more than cigarette smoke.

The light over the bed did not work, neither did the shower head. Since this was only an overnight stay, I did not discover the problem with the shower until the next day, so I could not have been given another room. I would NOT stay there again.
