Bal Harbour Quarzo

I checked in to find out that my room had plumbing issues. I was relocated to a hotel nearly 20 mins away (100 blocks in another town). I expressed my frustration that I wasn't even notified of the event. The rep who helped me said she tried her best to accomodate me and was unsuccessful to get a hold of my contact information from the hotel engine agency I booked through. As much as the hotel accomodated me, I am not sure I would return. But only to redeem the 2 night voucher provided.

We had a junior suite for 4 nights. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. We loved the Zen garden overlooking the intracoastal waterway. We did not notice any outside noise even though our ground floor room was near the elevator and faced the bridge. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated and immaculate. We did have trouble with the soft bedding - we prefer firm mattresses and pillows, and wound up buying our own foam pillows at Bed Bath & Beyond because the Quarzo has only feather pillows. That helped a lot, though! The kitchen was very well stocked and this hotel would be a good choice for a family with young children because of the nice kitchens and the small pool - hardly used as far as we could see. And the beach was a very short, easy walk.

My daughter and I booked this hotel on our visit to Miami before departing on a cruise. It was a little difficult to find, but we loved the location! The beach was less than a block away, and the hotel backed up to the water, with lovely gazebos and lounge chairs looking over the ocean. Tiki torches were lit at night, and soft music played all the time. The decor was lovely, and the staff very gracious and helpful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!!

The hotel looked nice enough but once I checked in the remarkabley bad service defined it. My room was lacking obvious neccesities like a hair dryer; the room safe was locked and couldn't be opened; the tv did not receive basic stations like NBC, etc but had the smaller cable channedls; and lightbulbs were out. After I called the front desk three times for these things, I gave up since they barely spoke English. There are other missing components that I don't have enought time to list. The location of this hotel can be considered good or bad depending on your point of view. It is hard to find but is quiet. This place could be alot better but is sorely lacking in customer service.

i did some research before getting to the quarzo, and i was not sure that the pics on their website we accurate. to my surprise the room had beautiful furniture, huge space, newlly renovated. great location, nice view, totally recommendable.
