Watch out for extra charges!

One Ocean was a BEAUTIFUL hotel! The decor was unforgettable. The docent service was okay but it varies from docent to docent. The one thing I will warn everyone about is the extra charges. In the end we paid an additional $200 for a two night stay.

Fantastic Girls Weekend Getaway

One Ocean is in a great location, convienent to resturants, bars and cute shops. The hotel is right on the beach, beautiful view from oceanfront rooms. Hugh the bartender in the lobby bar make fabulous drinks, just tell him an ingredient you like and he will make you something wonderful. The only thing I would change is the size of the bathrooms, they are very small for such a nice hotel.

Great stay

I think we got a deal on this place by booking it the same day because it was a really nice place for the price. Seemed like a 4 or 5 star hotel. The service was excellent and the amenities were also very nice. I would go back.

Always Available

The staff at One Ocean Resort Hotel and Spa were always available with a smile and assistance! As a professional trainer, I was amazed at how excellent their training program must be to ensure that all staff projected the same image of being there to make me comfortable and provide whatever service I may need during my stay. My partner and I had a delightful time and would enjoy a return trip.

Upscale Without Being Stuffy

Loved the proximity to the beach, the luxurious pool lounge chairs, and the staff. We used all the available services--shoe shining, spa services, room service--all with phenomenal results. Jeremiah had to get our safe open after it broke...he was competent and unobtrusive--kudos to him. The bed was soft, the pillows amazing, the bathroom clean, and everything exceeded our expectations. We will make this our new favorite hotel and return next time with our 3-year-old.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

No need to leave the area--eat at the restaurant in the hotel (amazing but expensive) or take a short walk across the street for a hamburger. We never drove after we arrived.

Worth the view.

when we first arrived you could see the beauty of the hotel. The staff welcomed us as if we were long time visitors. We were escorted to our room which was beautiful and turned out to be comfortable. Then we looked out of the window and had a view of the ocean. It was just what my wife wanted, location and comfort. My wife felt we were on our second honeymoon after 45 years. Well worth the stay!!!

Food We Had A 5 Star Dinner In The Lounge And The Cocktails Were Made By A Fab Bartender Name Hugh He Was Amazing As Well. Location There Are Lots Of Near By Places To Eat And Drink As Well. Carribbee Key A Casual Place And Open Air Bar Up Stairs With Cool Bartenders As Well And Live Music On The Weekends.. The Hotel Is A Beauty, The Pool Is Wonderful And Fully Staffed. The Water Is Just Right Down There In Atlantic Beach Florida There Is No Where Else Like It To Say Around There!!! A Must Stay.. Oh Yea there Is A WONDERFUL Spa !!

Great Stay!

I organized a trip to One Ocean for a college reunion with my girl friends. I am from the area, and One Ocean is known as one of the nicest hotels in the Jacksonville Beach area. It met all expectations. The hotel staff was very nice and the rooms were clean. We had a great overall experience! Atlantic Beach is a very quaint beach town and has lots of restaurants in walking distance to the hotel.

Many extra unannounced cost!!

Lots of extra added cost that simply didn't make sense. After being at the facility for several hours we went out to eat. When we came back we were informed that the parking lot on site (where we had already parked earlier) was only for valet parking, no options for self parking. On top of that if you parked on the property it would cost you an extra $15.00 for the valet parking. The only other option was to park off of the property in public parking areas away from the resort and not owened by the resort. In addition we found at check out time that there was a "resort fee" of $25.00. In total we spent an extra $40.00 on top of the [...] rate that we thought we would have to pay. Every place that we went at this resort we found staff with their hands out expecting tips! [...]We only stayed at the resort for 1 night because of the extra $40.00 per day that we wasn't aware of when we made our reservation [...]. SAVE YOUR MONEY and stay at the Hoilday Inn Express. This place wasn't worth the cost. It should be considered robbery for a resort to have hidden fees that aren't disclosed during ceck in. I will never stay at this place again. [...]
