horrible service
decent hotel, absolutely terrible service. three days in a row they refused to clean my room and replenish towels, etc. the housekeepers even went as far as moving the door hanger so they didn't have to clean it.

In town just for a track meet
The room was nothing special. Nothing too bad, could use a touch up. The guys at the front desk were always helpful. The cleaning person didn't knock before opening my door. That was my only real complaint. Oh...the breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. That was the only real disappointment. Overall..a good value for the money.

Short walk from hotel
We ate dinner at the Friendlys restaurant right next door to the hotel. It was nice food for a nice price. Good service too.

Horribly dirty; but cheap
Our sink clogged as well as the bathtub. Water pressure was minimum. Chairs were dirty and the furniture was ran down. There was also a not so pleasant smell in the building. Beside the cost I would recommend finding somewhere else to stay, especially if you intend on spending a lot of time in the room.

Good Value for your money
The room was very clean. It was very easy to find off the highwayand convenient to where we had to go. The staff was friendly and helpful if we had any questions. I would come back to this hotel in the future.

worst experience
Reserved room was not available when i arrived hotel manager was very rude.bed did not have proper bedsheet,bathroom was not clean,chair &the mirowave oven was missing.At checkout the rate on my final bill was much less than what was charged on my card

NOT A HOTEL BUT A HOLE-TEL minus ---3 stars
dirty chair in room,A balcony without chairs,only one night stand in room,super thin walls could hear the conversation & other activity in the next room very clearly. EL -CHEAP-O. will not take the cheap way out again. you do not even get what you pay for.no more HOWARD-JOHNSON for me.

Close to Univ Delaware
The only great thing was we were only staying one night (and arrived very late), and the location to the university was perfect. Room was tiny, clean enough but old, bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Front desk man somewhat impolite. Good price for the one night.

Not a bad place to stay on a budget; only 15 minutes from Newark. Hotel is located right off of the highway. Overall, no complaints.
