Budget-friendly hotel near D.C.’s best restaurant and nightlife scenes
This quaint, budget-friendly, bed-and-breakfast style hotel was built in 1926 and has been restored over the years. It's located between Dupont Circle and Woodley Park, near Adams Morgan. The hotel is perfect for travelers who want to be in the midst of the D.C. going out scene, with restaurants, shopping, and nightlife nearby. Two Metro stations are within walking distance for access to D.C.'s major tourist attractions. Rooms with views of Rock Creek Park have private bathrooms, and the hotel serves complimentary continental breakfast each morning.

SO SO
This hotel is very old and somewhat creepy. Overall it was good enough to just sleep and get up and go. I know I will not visit again. The price and quality of stay did not compare.

Nice Lovation
Nice lovation... A little away from the city center (Capitol, White House...) but perfect if you want to be near washingtin Nightlife but in a calm area. 5min walking from 18th street in Adams Morgan (night scene of Washingon)

Good location for the price
neat and clean rooms; quiet ambience; convinient location; only thing missing was that the hotel does not provide a parking place....you will have to park on the street outside the hotel....watch out for the 2 hours parking spots....i parked at this spot for the whole day but on a holiday so managed to get away!

Nice and Quiet...
I really enjoyed the location of the hotel. It was about a 10 minute walk to the Adams Morgan scene. Nice quiet area with trees so it had a neighborhood feeling to it. The room itself was older, but had a homely feel to it. The staff were very helpful and polite. The only thing i didn't like was that the air conditioner wasn't working, but it was nice outside so I was able to stay cool with the window open. For the price I would stay there again.

good location, good price,
We were very happy as we arrived at 11.00am and we were allowed to check in and to use the room from that time and to leave our bags there, this was convenient as we were going on a hop on/hop off tour bus around the city. It was great to have internet access also free of charge in order for us to plan our trip.

Great location and price
This hotel is located within walking distance or central to the Dupont Circle area, Adams Morgan and Woodley Park. There is a metro stop in Woodley Park which is less than 10 minutes walking and the area is a peaceful and safe residential area. The rooms look slightly less than modern but are clean and spacious and the staff were very helpful. The desk clerk even moved his car to allow me to park hassle free. Very friendly and cooperative...4 stars based on the amazing price.

The best places to eat at a closer distance are in Adams Morgan..lots of ethnic choices such as Indian, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean and American/Fusion. Simply walk a couple of blocks north on Kalorama Rd.
