Budget-friendly hotel near D.C.’s best restaurant and nightlife scenes
This quaint, budget-friendly, bed-and-breakfast style hotel was built in 1926 and has been restored over the years. It's located between Dupont Circle and Woodley Park, near Adams Morgan. The hotel is perfect for travelers who want to be in the midst of the D.C. going out scene, with restaurants, shopping, and nightlife nearby. Could have overlooked the rest if...
At any hotel, motel or inn there are always two things you can count on, a warm bed and a hot shower. Apparently 4 am is too early to have boilers running because the shower was cold. The staff apologized and sent someone to check on it but mentioned there's not much they can do about it after we expressed our urgency of making our flight and need to leaving speedily. We only stayed at this hotel again because we didn't want to move our luggage the day before, now I wish we had gone to a hotel closer to the airport. The price was not worth the lack of basic hotel promise. I would recommend that if this is something typical, the hotel should notify its guest that a hot shower will not be available between specific times. If it is not typical, then they need to make their guests feel like it is not when it happens and a simply, "i'm sorry" just doesn't cut it.

trip to washington
It was a very average room but I did not go to Washington to enjoy the room. It was clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a very convenient location with a very simple route to the Washington mall to drive. So I was happy with the location and convienence of the hotel and the price of the room was very reasonable. It also had a complementary breakfast of muffin and bagels which were very tasty. no complaints

Great Location
The room wasn't fance, but it was clean. The bathroom was spotless. It is located between 2 Metro Stops in a nice residential style neighborhood. We felt safe walking, even walking back after dinner at some of the great neighborhood restaurants. For this price, we didn't expect a lot, but there were muffins and bagals at breakfast. We would stay there again.

NO PARKING LOTS! IF you have a car, dont book this Hotel! In the near is a garage available for $36 per DAY! Very old furniture and it smells very horrorible. The carpet has holes and is not clean! We saw at the breakfast a huge bug! I hope I will not remember me...

Good location, friendly staff
It was easy to walk to the metro and the neighborhood was quaint. Would have liked a slighlty larger room and more variety in breakfast. Will stay there again.

Good value for location and price.
Beds are comfortable, but a double bed really only accommodates one adult or two children. The hotel location is walking distance to Metro, but parking is a real problem. Only two hour parking, if you can find it. Suggest the hotel get an agreement with a nearby parking facility.

Not a good experience!
Great location. Hotel was not what I expected. Room very small, bathroom vent was very dirty!!! It was quaint in idea.....just not in reality. Would not choose to stay again.
