Budget-friendly hotel near D.C.’s best restaurant and nightlife scenes
This quaint, budget-friendly, bed-and-breakfast style hotel was built in 1926 and has been restored over the years. It's located between Dupont Circle and Woodley Park, near Adams Morgan. The hotel is perfect for travelers who want to be in the midst of the D.C. going out scene, with restaurants, shopping, and nightlife nearby. Two Metro stations are within walking distance for access to D.C.'s major tourist attractions. Good value for location and price.
Beds are comfortable, but a double bed really only accommodates one adult or two children. The hotel location is walking distance to Metro, but parking is a real problem. Only two hour parking, if you can find it. Suggest the hotel get an agreement with a nearby parking facility.

Not bad, overall
Some of the staff were very helpful, another one was cranky and insulting when asked a question. The room was reasonably clean, although the floor looked as if it needed a good carpet cleaning. Breakfast could be better.

You get what you pay for
Be ready to deal with hot temperature without air conditioning if you're gonna stay in this place. There's an air conditioner in the room, but hardly any cool air is coming out of it. Plus, wifi internet intermittently stops working and night staffs are quite rude. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anynoe I know.

Nothing fancy but a great deal
Just needed an affordable place to stay for the night, and got a great rate. There is nothing fancy about this hotel, and the hallways might make you nervous, but the rooms are perfectly clean, cozy, and have everything you need. Plus, there's breakfast. It's not a long walk through a very safe-feeling neighborhood to the metro, and it's very close walking distance to some awesome Dupont restaurants and shops. No complaints!

good for that price
It is nice and quiet ..not exclusive but you have everything you need. they offer a kind of buffet in the morning so you wont starve to death (croissant and coffee/juice) free internet .. the worse thing is parking and finding one is a problem ..I found one a few blocks away ..a small gas station-oil change on 22 street next to Taras Shevchenko sculpture (ask for Abraham... he is in charge).

OK ovewrnight in DC
Good except that the wall light fixture fell off in my hand when i first used it. I got it back on the wall butr it was still loose. Otherwise the room (small) was clean and acceptable

Fine but
Hotel was fine, older but clean. For a special weekend, the dedication of the King memorial, the price was good. But the view from my 5th floor room was of, no kidding, an elevator shaft. Will stay here again but the price definitely needs to be a good deal
