Windsor Park Hotel

We had a couple of days to see DC and while the hotel was not bad, the lack of parking was problematic. We ended up paying lots to park nearby at the Hilton. The hotel is old but in a neat area near Dupont Circle. Two Metro stops to downtown and all the sights. The staff was very helpful and friendly. No pool, limited breakfast choices. The bathroom door didn't close fully. But they upgraded to a larger room for the four of us just because they had the space for no extra charge. The room was very quiet with little noise from the street.

good location, frendly staff, not noisy, good price. Room is not very big , but everything work good, clean, metro is 10-15 min. walk.

We were very happy as we arrived at 11.00am and we were allowed to check in and to use the room from that time and to leave our bags there, this was convenient as we were going on a hop on/hop off tour bus around the city. It was great to have internet access also free of charge in order for us to plan our trip.

My family and I went to DC for 4 days and 3 nights to see the monuments, etc. The location of the hotel was great. It was 2 blocks from the subway, you could easily walk to restaurants, shops and around the corner was Dupont Circle. We felt safe,the service was great, the rooms were clean and we were able to find parking near the hotel. It was just what we needed somewhere to sleep, clean, a great location and feeling safe with our 7 and 9 year old. Windsor Parke is the place we will stay again next summer while in DC.

The desk attendant was kind enough to give me his street parking space for the entire stay. This was important because parking is really difficult & limited in the area.

Great location with a friendly and helpful staff. It includes a continental breakfast and free internet. The rooms are small and a little old. It was a little noisy though. The bathrooms are small. Still a great place to stay.

STAY AWAY !! The hotel advertised free breakfast. What you get is a continental breakfast. Quite a difference. The room was small and dingy-looking, but clean. Cracked plaster and old peeling paint had been painted over. There were NO COFFEE MAKERS IN THE ROOMS and no place to get coffee at night. The hotel lists lots of eating places within walking distance --- but you better expect to do a LOT of walking to get anywhere. The hotel does not provide parking and on street parking is all but non-existent. The ONLY good thing is the neighborhood. This hotel is located among beautiful old homes, most of which have been converted into foreign embassies. But that is NOT enough reason to stay. NOT A GOOD DEAL FOR THE MONEY!

The Hotel is in a great location. Just a few minutes from the Nightlife of Adams Morgan. Area is safe to walk around in at night. Streets are easy to navigate and are well kept. Within easy walking distance of the Metro, National Zoo, Rock Creek Park and Embassy Row. As for the hotel itself... you get what you pay for. The staff was helpful and rooms were clean. However, it is an older hotel which lacks many services that newer (and larger) hotels offer such as dining, tourist info, etc. The rooms are small and amenities are few. If you are familiar with the area and know your way around then this a great place to stay. If you are coming to DC as a tourist then perhaps consider a larger chain hotel offer more services for singles, couples and families.

Stayed for the Independence Day festivities. GReat European feel to the neighborhood. Felt very safe. One of a kind restaraunts in Dupont Circle area close about 10:30 - there are alot to choose from. Rooms a little small, but the price is right.

We were only at the hotel one night and left early, so don't remember much about the hotel itself. We took an early evening walk around the gorgeous neighborhood and were fascinated by all the embassies. Cute restaurants close by.
