Dining
- international lounge
- The keynote of the international is the feeling of grown-up glamour and sophistication that reigned throughout the Kennedy years - the golden age of All-American-Style; full of promise and ambition. This is not Austin Powers or Warhol Pop. Think Babe Paley; think dressed up, crisp clothed jet-setters and kings of commerce enjoying a classic champagne cocktail, nibbling an elegant snack, while engaging in intense flirtation and conversation into the wee hours - after all one can always stay over.
- No. 10 Thomas
- No. 10 Thomas offers Contemporary American cuisine and the perfect ambience for any meal. Watch the "Early birds" at Logan Circle in the morning, sunbathers taking a dip in our pool after lunch, or the sunset over National City Christian Church in the evening. Sip a Glass of Champagne or enjoy a cocktail by candle light on our Poolside terrace and make a wish while counting the shooting stars over Washington D.C.

My Stay
I stayed at this hotel for a Disability Policy Seminar that I attended at the Grand Hyatt. It was a nice stay. The location was safe - only 10 blocks to the metro station and there were a few restaurants and drug stores close by. It was mostly quiet as my room was on the backside. The view was not great but I was there to sleep only. I wish they would have had a complimentary shuttle service but they didn't. Food from room service was good but way too expensive.

Put on your walking shoes but Macy's is not that far of a walk. It was also a long walk to the White House.

A very good choice
The hotel, room, services restaurant are very satisfactory. The personnel are, also, very kind and cooperative. The only drawback is that they charge for the garage. I would expect the garage to be included.

weekend getaway & touring
good location (easy access to public transportation, close enough to downtown tourist sites), clean room, bedding was comfortable, good value for the money, and was even able to find free street parking around the corner from the hotel for the weekend.

Washington Plaza Hotel
In as much as I thought the stay was pleasant and the staff helpful, there were three areas that needed improvement. 1. The cable/satellite TV was horrible. The programs would freeze or stations that were supposed to be covered were not. 2. When asking for directions at the front desk, the person gave inaccurate descriptions thus making my travel time less than ideal. 3. The wait staff at the hotel's restaurant were very inattentive. I always had to ask for refills on coffee and water. Otherwise, the hotel was clean and presentable.

We greatly enjoyed our stay. The staff was first class in friendliness and helpfulness. The hotel location made for easy walks to the Mall area, Ford's Theatre, etc. Many restaurants near by. Hotel was quiet. Will stay there again next time am in DC.

Washington Plaza
I quite enjoyed my stay at the Washington Plaza. The hotel staff (everyone, in every department) were very friendly and courteous. The room was clean. The doors are set slightly off the hallway so you do not get a lot of hall noise--either that or everyone who stayed in the hotel were mature and quiet. Computer center user-friendly. A friend ate at the restaurant and liked it. The free wi-fi was nice, but there were some glitches with it--even in the business center. The hotel was half a mile from my conference and an easy walk, fast food and fine-dining with easy access, as were several coffee shops. The street we were on was also quiet in the evening. OH, there was one negative. The cable TV channels--other than sports, which was fine, the channels were all political, or else bizarre channels like the History Channel. A few girly channels like HGTV, Bravo, Food Network, would be nice--please :)

Good fun @ Cherry Blossom Festival
The hotel was in a great location for everything we wanted to do. The room was clean, modern and nicely decorated. We were able to get a room facing into the circle with a balcony overseeing the pool which was great. The staff were all so polite and helpful, especially the doormen and valet. We were minutes away from the bus and metro and even walking distance from the White House and other monuments/museums/etc. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again on our next visit!
