Visiting just cause...

Location: awesome! Within steps of metro (which is perfect for late night flights in). Walking distance to all major sites. Hop on/off bus stops in front of hotel. Food: Really good especially the burgers! Starbucks in hotel! Hotel: Really friendly staff. Wished the room had a mini fridge (why did hotels stop offering this??). Walls are kinda thin so hopefully you have quiet neighbors.

Excellent staff, good price

Very close to DC mall and metro: Clean, nice room; doorman, housekkeping staff and all staff were helpful and friendly. The double beds could have been more comfortable.

Great location

Located directly above the Metro Center transit station, getting around D.C. could not be easier. When necessary, cabs easily obtained with no wait. Easy walk to outstanding restaurants and The Mall. Rooms average sized, nothing fancy, but clean, quiet and comfortable. Indoor pool, very good gym facilities, Starbucks in the small lobby with restaurant at the other end. Pay around 12.00/day for wi-fi. Has all the essentials as a base for a D.C. stay.

Nice hotel, good location, looked recently renovated along with everything else in D.C.

Very courteous and friendly staff. Lots of "good mornings" and "Thank yous". Comfortable room and bed. Not much view. The swipeless card locks are great. $40 plus tax to park the car seemed excessive, as well as the $6 bottles of water in the room. This seems like a very active business hotel, close to the convention center, and walkable to the white house.

Time-saving tip: Not Applicable

Big tip for D.C. learn to take the Metro. Road closings for motorcades are a regular happening. The radiating street plan can get you off in the wrong direction quickly.

Great location

Super location, with Metro on the same block and walk able to the significant monuments and museums. rooms were very nice. Restaurant had a nice breakfast buffet, but kind of pricey. Many eating options close by.

Try Cafe Mozart Grman restaurant. It's in the back of a little grocery/deli, so you kind of need to look for it.

Needs to get with the times

We enjoyed our stay at the Marriott, however, they need to get with the times and STOP charging for wireless internet. The hotel was very comfortable and clean and convenient to everything.

It's all about location, location, location!

I was just there with my family and thought it was a great hotel. It was right by the metro and within walking distance of many of the landmarks. I will definitely stay there again next time.

Great location

Close to Metro, however you can walk to everything as well if you want to. we walked to smithsonians, white house, lincoln, vietnam, korean memorials. also walked to verizon center to catch a basketball game. staff was great and room as well. the restaurant in the hotel had good food and was very accommodating to gluten free diet:) only complaint is that they really should have free wireless or provide a free ethernet cable if you want to use hard wired internet in room. would stay again!
