Nice hotel

The hotel was centrally located which was great for getting around Washington. The staff was cordial, especially Aurora who was the concierge when we checked out. The only bummer was paying $45 a day to park at the hotel but on the upside was we didn't have to remove the car until 6pm on checkout day; the hotel kept our bags so we could see more of the city. Definetly convenient to everything.

Nice variety of restaurants near the hotel. I'd suggest walking to the Chinatown area which had many restaurants to choose from. It's only a few blocks walk to 7th street from the hotel which is on 12th street.

Good for a family stay

We stayed here for 4 nights and really liked the hotel overall. The rooms and beds are generally in good shape and you don't hear any noise from the outside once you are in the room so it's good to catch up on sleep. The interiors are fairly upscale and you would feel safe here. The staff around the concierge could be a little friendlier but overall it's good value for money if you are budget conscious.

Great location

Close to Metro, however you can walk to everything as well if you want to. we walked to smithsonians, white house, lincoln, vietnam, korean memorials. also walked to verizon center to catch a basketball game. staff was great and room as well. the restaurant in the hotel had good food and was very accommodating to gluten free diet:) only complaint is that they really should have free wireless or provide a free ethernet cable if you want to use hard wired internet in room. would stay again!

Great location

Located directly above the Metro Center transit station, getting around D.C. could not be easier. When necessary, cabs easily obtained with no wait. Easy walk to outstanding restaurants and The Mall. Rooms average sized, nothing fancy, but clean, quiet and comfortable. Indoor pool, very good gym facilities, Starbucks in the small lobby with restaurant at the other end. Pay around 12.00/day for wi-fi. Has all the essentials as a base for a D.C. stay.

Superb Location

Chose this hotel for a quick weekend getaway to Washington DC. Couldn't have asked for a better location. The Mall and museums were a few blocks away so we could walk to everything, yet when kids tired out we could just hop on the Metro and return to the hotel in minutes. The kids loved the indoor swimming pool and the parents loved the relaxing hot tub. Although there were lots of nearby restaurants, we ate mostly at the hotel where we were on a "kids eat free" plan. Food was very good. The concierge provides a wide array of services, including booking the double-decker tourbus, which stops at the hotel. This is a lovely hotel with a mixture of business travelers and tourists. And with shopping just across the street, you can't go wrong.

Most major tourist attractions are a short walk from this hotel. Those further away are easily accessed because the Metro is just steps away.

Close to everything

I was in DC for 5 days and got married while I was there. We also visited all the major attractions. The hotels is right next to the Metro, close to all the major points of interest, what wasn't within walking distance was accessable from the Metro. the staff was friendly, helpful, professional and seemed generally interested in our stay there. the bed was very comfortable, the room was clean and we really had no complaints. Good Job!!!
