Super location, right above the Metro Center subway station. Easy to get to Chinatown, White House, Verizon Center, and the Mall. Best of all, if you fly into Reagan Airport, take the Metro for about $4 round trip, so no need for a car rental.

Walk 6 blocks and you'll find a good, cheap Chinese restaurant that serves hand-made noodles, called Chinatown Express Restaurant (corner of 6th and G).

Marriott at Metro
We stayed for July 3rd and 4th, 2009 evening. It was a very busy weekend. The staff was quite friendly at the front door, front desk, and especially at the restaurant Fire Sage. They have delicious food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A great deal for kids is the breakfast buffet at $4.99-a great price! The only disappointment was the small swimming pool area that was filled with kids up until 11 p.m. Otherwise the location is great and so was the clean room.

Comfortable and Friendly
The location is great - double decker tour bus stop right out front and within walking distance to many landmarks. Staff very accomodating and friendly. The concierge was usually very helpful -giving directions, restaurant recommendations. One concierge gave us a recommendation for a close restaurant where we could eat outside. When we got there (and it wasn't that close) we found that there was no outside dining and there were many closer restaurants that did have it.

Great Price and Location, Bad Restaurant
I was in DC to visit the museums, decided to eat at the restaurant, it took forever to get my food and by the time I got it, it was cold. The waitress was horrible, she was acting like she was in a hurry and we were bothering her by eating there. Other than that, I would recommend the hotel and would probably stay there again.. but not to eat. They will also charge you for parking your vehicle[...]. $40 per day.
