Best location !

great location to see the main sites of D.C. We walked to Nature Histoary Museume and Congress and white house. Eatting at Chinatown was convinient. We would like to stay next time . Parking is fine and $25.00 near hotel public parking a day.

Washington DC vacation

My husband and I scheduled this trip ONE day prior to leaving, as we had been in Belize on a diving vacation when Hurricane Ernesto threatened the island. We flew out of there earlier than scheduled, then had some time left on our week off and decided to fill it with an impromptu visit to DC. The marriott was a very comfortable and nicely located hotel for what we were looking for. Right next to a metro entrance, but just three blocks from the white house and memorials all around. Very nice. Our only unfortunate experience was the fire alarm evacuating the entire hotel at 4:00 am. Everyone had to use the stairs and we were on the 11th floor. I appreciate the precautions, however, after we had all climbed the stairs and gotten back in bed, the alarm sounded again. All back down stairs, wait outside...only to find out that it had been a prankster pulling the alarms. Needless to say no one got back to sleep - we had to leave for the airport at 8, so a terrible night's sleep. I would have expected some sort of apology while checking out, but had to solicit one - which was an offer for a free breakfast (as we were checking out -?) Finally did get the previous day's breakfast removed from the tab, but discouraging that it was prompted by the customer.

Where was a hair dryer equipped?

It was certainly a 4-star hotel. Location is perfect. Room is clean. Unfortunately I could not find a hair dryer and it was somewhat a noisy floor during my last stay.

Visiting just cause...

Location: awesome! Within steps of metro (which is perfect for late night flights in). Walking distance to all major sites. Hop on/off bus stops in front of hotel. Food: Really good especially the burgers! Starbucks in hotel! Hotel: Really friendly staff. Wished the room had a mini fridge (why did hotels stop offering this??). Walls are kinda thin so hopefully you have quiet neighbors.

Excellent staff, good price

Very close to DC mall and metro: Clean, nice room; doorman, housekkeping staff and all staff were helpful and friendly. The double beds could have been more comfortable.

Good staff/trouble with hotel

I had a lot of trouble at the business center, but the staff did try their best to help me, even offering the conceirege computer. Very good location and room was comfortable, but awakened b/c shower so loud next door I thought it was a fire alarm. Again, staff indicated they would look into it.

There are PLENTY of great places to eat and shop close by-save the cab fair for seeing sights that are farther away. If you don't mind spending $10-$20 for a cab-keep your car in the garage-you'll spend extra money but save a lot of stress!

great location otherwise average

location was great; no need to rent a car if traveling to DC and stay here for a family getaway. Located within steps of a metro station and close to the tour bus lines as well (Ford's Theater). Blue line metro from airport to hotel. Otherwise, a very average hotel. Beds were too soft to our liking, oversized, useless pillows. Small room, small beds (2x doubles, not queens), no included breakfast, no included internet, no microwave, no fridge (actually, upon request they wheeled one into the room). Expensive, but so are all hotels here. Pool was great for young kids. a number of restaurants to choose from within a few blocks.

Good Choice

If you plan on taking the Metro there is no better location. We also walked everywhere so the hotel was very well located. Room was fine, no view. Breakfast was ok and typically hotel expensive. Small but adequate store. Starbucks in hotel but every evening when we wanted coffee it was closed. Nothing bad nothing great. I would use this hotel again.
