The place was huge and I didn't have enough help with my luggage. I was cold and it took at hour to get an extra blanket. I slept in my jacket.

fun time away

Hotel in good location for metro and Tour bus..Nice eating places within 2 minutes of hotel especailly the Lebanese restaurant. Hotel is more conference hotel, lots of coaches.. Kids over the weekend made it very noisey, unable to relax around the pool due to so many kids. Rooms a nice size, clean, although had to ask staff to empty trash can and had to ask every day for a new form to order breakfast in room. One morning they called me at 6.30am to ask if I wanted extra bacon for breakfast, 30 minutes later they brought breakfast to our room, only problem we asked for breakfast to be delivered at 9.15am..they were good though they did not charge us for the breakfast on the day and could not apologize enough. Nice hotel if you just want somewhere to lay your head..

Big Is Better!

For a huge hotel, the service was great. When I arrived on Saturday (this time to enjoy family and friends at a Sunday wedding during the Labor Weekend), the lobby was noisy with lots of people mingling. Was told there was a big convention going on. It was not a problem. Registration was quick and easy. Guest rooms were quiet. The gardens on the property were gorgeous with beautiful flowers and greenery. I especially enjoyed this when I walked backed to the hotel from my many nearby excursions. Also, the Lobby Bar was great for entertaining a few friends who lived in the area, and I really enjoyed the buffet breakfast at Stone's Throw restaurant which had many more selections than most hotels. It reminded me of the bountiful buffets on a cruise ship!

Great hotel, great location

We were there for a rally in DC over a weekend. Our stay at the hotel was fantastic. The hotel is classy, great services and amenities. Getting on a bus or the local Metro is as easy as going out the door which makes sight-seeing very easy. There is also easy access to a fitness trail if you need to take a little run.

Lots of places to eat. You can eat in the hotel or choose one of may locations just out side the hotel. You can drive further into town and eat there but don't forget that parking is a premium further in.

Perfect retreat in the city

There were so many great things going on at this hotel, but we were so busy running around DC that we only had time for a couple meals and a drink at the lobby bar. Both of the restaurants were great, and the modern, but comfy, lobby has a great bar, business center, and much more. The best part of our stay was having the metro stop right across the street. It was incredibly easy to get anywhere we wanted to go. The only complaint I would have is that there are only a select few rooms that aren't 2 doubles, so if you want a king or queen make sure you request one ahead of time. I would highly recommend a stay here, but set aside some time to enjoy your accommodations!

Dupont Circle is just a couple metro stops away from the hotel, and is full of great things to do and see. As soon as you get off the metro, Kramerbooks & Afterwords Cafe is across street. Great food, and a really neat concept.

Not bad; could be better

The location isn't central to downtown DC, but situated in a nice neighborhood with incredibly easy access to the metro. The staff was extremely accomodating, however the pool was closed for the duration of my stay and there were limited channel selections on the tv.
