What a Great Hotel!

Service was outstanding, from check-in to check-out. Great location on Capitol Hill - for business we needed to be close to the National Mall and monuments. Also within walking distance to Union Station which enabled us to get just about anywhere. The room was beautiful, clean and well appointed. Very friendly, accommodating staff. Would definitely stay there again.

Great location

Unfortunately we found out that a Parlor Room - 1 sofa bed is exactly that, no bed, just a sofa bed. They upgraded us to a Queen Size bed, but the room was extremely small so I had to pay an extra $223.00 (including tax)over and above the room rate agreed to for a room with a king sized bed (They call it an Executive King). The room was nice, but the maid service was not very good they did not dust or vacuum and more often than not they did not replenish the toiletries or the coffee, tea, or cups in the bathroom.

Washington Court Hotel

Hotel was conveniently located, two blocks from Union Square and the metro. Rooms were large. Concierge knowledgeable. Valet parking slow and expensive. Breakfast was just okay for the price. Fitness center suited my needs.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

The city is very pedestrian friendly. You can walk to many of the attractions or hop on and off the Old Town Trolley which makes multiple shops. Parking on the streets in fairly ample on the weekends. There are also many indoor parking lots.

It's a great location - right next door to Union Station where you can eat, shop or pick up public transportion and the tour busses. A great view of the Capitol right outside of the hotel. A 10 minute walk to the Capitol.

The good, the bad, and the ugly

The desk clerk was not friendly at all. I had requested a mini-fridge before we arrived and apparently it was not noted on my reservation. It didn't arrive in a timely manner so I had to call down to the front desk to remind them. The room we had was a big disappointment in that it faced the atrium and there was construction going on outside our window the whole time we were there. The doormen were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast buffet was overly priced for the quality of the food. We ordered room service one morning and the food and service were excellent. Other meals were purchased elsewhere. The location was great being so close to the Capitol and other landmarks. Don't know if I would stay there again.

The hotel was clean and cozy. What a great value. Within walking distance of the Metro. You can walk or ride to the almost anywhere in 10 minutes. If you are going to visit the museums and site, go early.
