Great Location

This hotel is located within 2 blocks from Union Station. We loved the location and the staff was very helpful. Traveling with 2 kids a pool would have been a plus. Also breakfast included would have been nice. However, we requested a refrigerator in our room which was nice.

Great Location!

This hotel is in a great location! You can walk to the mall easily. The concierge was great too. Steered us to an awesome Italian restuarant and gave us a $30 credit for dinner.

I would not stay here again

The location was perfect; however, that is the best thing I can say about this hotel. Oh, and the doormen were wonderful! They were friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. When we arrived at the hotel, the man at the check in desk barely acknowledged us. No "Welcome to Washington," or "Welcome to our hotel," or anything resembling friendliness or courtesy. The morning after we arrived, we went to have breakfast, and that ordeal lasted over 90 minutes -- most of it just waiting for service! No waiter ever approached our table! It took WAY over 30 minutes just to get coffee, never mind a menu or service. I asked two servers for coffee, and they never brought any to us. We did eventually get our food and it rated maybe one star. I would never stay at this hotel again. Like I said before, the doormen were super. It's a sad state of affairs when the doormen are the nicest people in your establishment. There is a Hyatt right down the street, and I would almost certainly stay there next time I go to DC. The morning of our departure, we wanted to go on line to check our airline departure info, and the hotel wanted money just to go on line! The amount of money I paid for the room, the web should have been free!

Great Place to Stay

The staff was friendly and helpful. I'd called in advance to change our room from King bed to two double beds and was told they will know by the date of arrival if they can do that. Once we arrived. although the hotel was fully booked for the weekend, they had already made the change. The location is unbeatable. The only thing we were not impressed with was the quality of the food for the price at the restaurant. The service was also slow, but there are plenty of great dining options in DC so you'd be much better off to eat elsewhere!

Started off bad

The hotel is in a great location; however, what should have been a 15 minute trip from the airport took two hours due to google maps had us going on a one-way street. Unfortunately it took three calls to the hotel for someone to understand where we were and how we should get there. We were on the other side of New Jersey and nobody could tell us that. Not many reasonably priced restaurants around the location (Kelly's and Quizinos was good). I don't remember the parking fee being listed in the hotel information when I signed up ($43.00 overnight).

Unbeatable Location

This hotel is located blocks from Union Station. You could walk there and find anything you needed. The sightseeing buses, a train to the airport, food and a mall. The Capital building was the view you had when walking up to the hotel. The doorman was there to greet you and let you in to their beautiful lobby. The beds is this place made you feel at home. Very clean very nice staff that was willing to help. Starbucks was right across the street. Everything you wanted was within a two block area. Very Nice hotel.

Perfect Location

The Hotel was great. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were there as tourists - so being only 5 blocks from the Capital Building and 3 blocks from Union Station made this hotel perfect. It is more of a businessman's hotel, but there were also tourists staying. We visited many different monuments and museums. But there are many places still to see. We had a great time and would defintely stay at the Washington Court Hotel again.

Great Location - Modern Room

We were in DC for only a few days and the 5 minute walk from Union Station was perfect! Union station is a hub of the metro, tour buses, shopping, and less expensive food so being so close made transportation a snap. The room was updated and clean, bed was very comfortable. The only small thing we didn't like was that the HD TV received an SD signal.. very small complaint. I would 100% recommend anyone to stay here.

Go to Union Station for more wallet friendly food with tons of options. Also, take the old town trolley tour for some great information to the best sites. The ticket is also good for 2 days so you can use it for transportation as well.
