I Approve!
The parking lot was full, so we couldn't park in the lot. We paid $40 to park in a hotel next door. They hooked us up with the $18 breakfast buffet for free though. They also refilled our coffee whenever we needed it. Nice and clean. Nice shower.

Amazin experience
We had a wonderful night, but there were hairs all over the bathroom floor that did not belong to us. The room was wonderful besides that and the staff were very friendly.

The Westin DC City Center
We were very, very disappointed that this hotel charges for Internet access. I travel fairly often for business & this is the first hotel I've stayed at for over 5 years which had an additional charge for in-room internet access. Also, in spite of having a pre-booked room reservation & their having valet service, the hotel parking garage was full. Their response to this situation was to send us (not their valet) around the corner to a different hotel's parking garage which charged us the same valet rate (i.e. $40/night). I do not plan on using either this specific hotel, nor this hotel chain, for any future personal/business travel.

The concierge can get you tickets for the Washington Monument - the free tickets come with a fee for that - but we found it well worth our time!

Westin City Center
As expected with a Westin, the rooms were spotless and comfortable. The location of the hotel is not too great, though it is about 4 blocks from the White House. The hotel is in the business district and most restaurants are closed at nights and weekends. The worst thing about the hotel is the price of parking: $40 a day. The hotel only has valet parking, so if you have a car, you have to pay. I will not use this hotel again based solely on the price to park.

Not bad but could have been better.
Toured Washington DC and Mount Vernon. As you would except during the summer, it was a very busy place but still worth it. Only drawback was eating establishments were not near. However, taxi service is plentiful, as was the metro and bus service.

Westin in the DC summer
The time I spent at the Westin was very nice and the best part was that the rooms were able to get nice and cool. This was key as the temps outside were in the high 90's with commensurate humidity. The service was very nice and you're close to a number of good restaurants that you can travel to on foot. I highly recommend it.
