Doorman

While the desk staff was very helpful regarding many issues, the Doorman were downright un-attentive. I thought they should be opening doors for passengers, removing luggage from the trunk, directing to the front desk. None of these tasks were done and many times they were simply congregating out front while we performed the actions. Not Good. Inform management to get them on their toes to maintain their 4 Star rating.

What a pleasure!

The staff was beyond friendly, the beds comfy, the bathroom perfect for sharing... The location was excellent right in the middle of the city with access to two metro lines in healthy walking distance... As well as a brief walk to all that is Georgetown. I loved this experience and would recommend highly. 4 stars really just means its awesome and you can afford it!!

Best weekend

We originally had been booked in another hotel . On arrival it was not a four star- so we immediately booked the westin as a replacement .... Wow.... Not disappointed at all. From the moment we arrived the staff were walm and welcoming and the presentation of the hotel immaculate . On arrival at our room we were amazed at its size by dc standards and the huge bathroom...we walked to the whitehouse and national mall and on to the museums. After a long day it was only a $6 cab ride back.. There was not one problem with the stay and it made our weekend!!! Thank you westin !

Highs and Lows

The hotel, once you got in, was very satisfactory. It is undergoing rennovations on its entrance; therefore, you have to enter by the side entrance. The staff at the hotel, including the busboys outside, were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were nice, as were the bathrooms. Remember though, this is a hotel in Washington D.C. - you will pay through the nose for a very simple breakfast. Two bagels, toast and a croissant with coffee and orange juice - $42.00. Valet parking - $40.00, althoug you can park you car yourself in an adjoining parking garage for $28.00 per night. All in all, certainly OK. I will be glad when they finish their renovations.
