Great value in a prime location
The River Inn provides great value in the prime Foggy Bottom area. IThe spacious rooms are set up as efficiencies with fully equipped kitchens - especially nice for a longer stay. The only quibble is that there was no information in the room with the standard description of amenities and services.

Great Great Place
This should definitely be a 4 star. The staff were wonderful and thoughtful. I had some trouble with hot water which they fixed immediately and offered a free breakfast -- a terrific offer given their restaurant. I recommend highly.

Nice business suites, good location
The River Inn provides nice suites, with a decently equipped kitchen (coffee beans and grinder are a nice touch, although it's hard to do the job neatly). Location is good, a quiet street 2 blocks from the Metro. Restaurant and bar are nice and the food is good. Staff very freindly.

I arrived around 2 pm but room was already available ,though regular check in time is 4pm .The room itself was clean and bedding was good .Could look though a bit more upscale . Location is wonderful -close to subway ,kennedy Center for the Arts, etc. Do recommend this Hotel and hope to be back again.

Charming neighborhood
I was in D.C. for a conference. This was an acceptable alternative to the pricy hotel the conference was held at. Despite the elevator not working properly and the lukewarm shower on the second day, the stay was pleasant enough. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

Excellent staff and nice neighborhood.
I got a room for one person. It's a very big room, even with a kitchen! The reception staff are great. The location is close to supermarket and metro stop, and the neighborhood is nice and quiet.

Great location
Overall, a good find. Fantastic location. Very convenient to Metro. Staff was quite friendly. Not a huge value but a nice stay for a reasonable (DC) price. The suite kitchenette was well equipped for a longer stay. May be more than you need (or care to pay for) for a typical business visit.
