I was able to get a great rate at the Melrose and I was very impressed by the quality of the room and the service for what I paid. I would definitely stay here again. Location is within walking distance of M Street in Georgetown.

Comfortable and clean

Can't beat the price- less than $150 for New Years Eve. Staff was friendly, everything was clean. Had a nice, big room and the mattress was quite comfortable. Arrived at 2am and had no problems checking in and getting the room.

DC Getaway

The Melrose Hotel was perfect for a long weekend getaway. The room was lovely and very comfortable. We were able to sit outside on the "front patio" off the bar and have drinks and watch the crowds go by - great way to take a rest without missing anything. I love the location - a short walk to Georgetown and an even shorter walk to the Metro Station. Easy, convenient, comfortable, and pretty!

great location with friendly staff

The location is easy to get to and only a short walk to the Foggy Bottom metro station. the staff are all very friendly. We only stay there for one night for a weekend trip, and we wanted to have breakfast on Sunday around Georgetown so we can shop around there. However, the staff recommend a franchise for breakfast. We ended up asking the locals. They direct us to a place call "Peacock Cafe", which they had great food and great service. I would stay at the hotel again.
