Pretty/Clean/Small

This was my second stay at The Melrose, and I'll probably book there again because the location is perfect and the price is great. The room was perfectly clean and attractive and the staff is professional, though not friendly. It is great if you have only one person in a room. The rooms are very small and the bathroom is tiny, so I wouldn't recommend it for couples or families.

DC Getaway

The Melrose Hotel was perfect for a long weekend getaway. The room was lovely and very comfortable. We were able to sit outside on the "front patio" off the bar and have drinks and watch the crowds go by - great way to take a rest without missing anything. I love the location - a short walk to Georgetown and an even shorter walk to the Metro Station. Easy, convenient, comfortable, and pretty!

Walk the Georgetown shops and check out Sprinkles for cupcakes. Also Trader Joes is practically across the street, wish I would have seen it when I was there instead of when I was leaving...

Nice Place, close to Metro

Nice place, close to Metro and many restaurants and George Washington University. The pillows were not the best but the room was comfortable otherwise. [...] advertised free parking on the weekends however the hotel only has valet parking which was $38 for the night.

The Melose Hotel in Georgetown

The Melrose remains out top pick in DC. Great hotel, large rooms and excellent restaurant. We love all the little sitting areas in the lobby. We've stayed at many hotels in DC, but after staying at the Melrose, we knew we found our 'go to' hotel, when traveling to DC. Love, love, love this hotel.

good expert blanket and air-condition

The blanket is not very good. It has some small holes on it. And the air-condition is pretty loud when its on.

Great hotel and location for a weekend in DC

My boyfriend and I were in town for a half marathon in DC. We needed a hotel that was convenient to the metro. The Melrose is just around the corner from the Foggy Bottom metro. It is also walking distance to the shops and restaurants in Georgetown. The hotel was very clean, had a modern vibe, and the beds were very comfortable. Can't beat the value of this hotel for the comfort and convenience.
